Washington, D.C. - The Republican Party announced today that Senator Joe Lieberman will be giving the keynote address at their nominating convention in Minneapolis. The theme agreed to by both Lieberman and top Republican officials is "Democrats are bad Americans and must be stopped by any means."

Said Lieberman, "I am thrilled to accept this invitation to speak at the Republican National Convention. Democrats are our enemies and we must not allow one to be elected president. Fortunately, I have been informed by Karl Rove that this is statistically impossible because we now have a cadre of US Attorneys in place along with Justices Roberts, Alito, Scalia, Thomas and Kennedy to ensure that no Democrat will ever be elected president again."

If I were a totally corrupt President, the first thing I would do (as soon as the occasion presented itself, say in 2001) is wiretap Americans. NOT Joe SixPack, but the Senate, House, and Judicial Branch and anyone else with any real power.

I would find dirt on both sides of the aisle, gauranteeing a rubber stamp of approval.

I think Joe got caught in the wiretaps - and now he's Bush's bitch. This also explains the Senate Republican's slavish behavior towards their Boy-King.

"I will not contribute any more $$$ until I learn that you have excluded JL from the caucus and removed him from the committee chairmanship -- complete with tar and feathers would be nice but not mandatory.

"I won't finance this Repuglican viper with my hard-earned Democratic dollars! I think it is a travesty of the party system. He has left the party and become independent. So be it. Let him find comfort with the party he appears to be most in tune with."
