The Last Confessions of E. Howard Hunt

.

He was the ultimate keeper of secrets, lurking in the shadows of American history. He toppled banana republics, planned the Bay of Pigs invasion and led the Watergate break-in. Now he would reveal what he'd always kept hidden: who killed JFK.
ERIK HEDEGAARD

Once, when the old spymaster thought he was dying, his eldest son came to visit him at his home in Miami. The scourges recently had been constant and terrible: lupus, pneumonia, cancers of the jaw and prostate, gangrene, the amputation of his left leg. It was like something was eating him up. Long past were his years of heroic service to the country. In the CIA, he'd helped mastermind the violent removal of a duly elected leftist president in Guatemala and assisted in subterfuges that led to the murder of Che Guevara. But no longer could you see in him the suave, pipe-smoking, cocktail-party-loving clandestine operative whose Cold War exploits he himself had, almost obsessively, turned into novels, one of which, East of Farewell, the New York Times once called "the best sea story" of World War II. Diminished too were the old bad memories, of the Bay of Pigs debacle that derailed his CIA career for good, of the Watergate Hotel fiasco, of his first wife's death, of thirty-three months in U.S. prisons -- of, in fact, a furious lifetime mainly of failure, disappointment and pain. But his firstborn son -- he named him St. John; Saint, for short -- was by his side now. And he still had a secret or two left to share before it was all over.

Deathbed Vindiction (a response from Travis Kelly)

"Sir Real,...

I read the article, and while it goes beyond the "lone nut" theory, I think it's classic disinfo: half-truth, mixed in with some BS.

That Cord Meyer was the linchpin I really doubt
(the presumed personal motive being JFK's affair with ex-wife Mary). Meyer was a liberal in the CIA,
and I don't think for a minute that he was more culpable than Hoover and the Nixon crowd (including Hunt himself).

This is a final slur from the master sleazeball, hurled at another patsy who wasn't far right enough for Hunt's respect.

No mention in the article of the famous
(among JFK researchers) Hunt vs. Liberty Lobby trial, wherein attorney Mark Lane (LHOswald's former attorney) completely demolished Hunt on the witness stand, establishing to the satisfaction of the jury that he was in Dallas on Nov. 22, that he was the paymaster of the operation, and elements of the CIA were, in the words of the jury forewoman "involved in the JFK assassination."

Reporting of that verdict never got beyond the local Miami news.
Free press, my ass.

That LBJ was a principal, I've never doubted. But Hunt is laying yet another false trail, absolving himself and his closest allies of all responsibility."

Travis

-

He then attached this footnote:

From a Cord Meyer biography:

http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/JFKmeyerC.htm

Asked to comment on the case, by the current author (C. David Heymann), Cord Meyer held court at the beginning of February 2001 - six weeks before his death - in the barren dining room of a Washington
nursing home. Propped up in a chair, his glass eye bulging, he struggled to hold his head aloft.

Although he was no longer able to read, the nurses supplied him with a daily copy of The Washington Post, which he carried with him wherever he went.
"My father died of a heart attack the same year Mary was killed," he whispered. "It was a bad time."
And what could he say about Mary Meyer?
Who had committed such a heinous crime?
"The same sons of bitches," he hissed,
"that killed John F. Kennedy."

(TRAVIS KELLY is considered to be a scholar/expert on the JFK assassination, and has even debated the events on a Texas radio show with Jim Marrs, author of the book, "Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy," which was used somewhat as the basis for the movie, "JFK", by Oliver Stone.)

Yes. Thanks for the post. I think this is the first post to touch this subject on the new blog.

Thanks Sir Real,and Fernando.

Sir Real thanks for the info.I haven't seen most of that before.
I was hoping I would get opinion's,and Info on this case when I posted it.
Plus it has a political side too.I have always been Very interested in
the Assassination of JFK.There obviously still is alot we don't know.
I don't believe Hunt,but it's interesting.And,who knows.
There is so much
disinformation out there.Which ofcourse begs the question, why?

Thanks for bringing up the JFK topic & article, MRRules.

What was most shocking to me was the concept that someone could be vindictive, even on their death bed. And, that's what Travis maintains.

And Travis knows a lot more than me about the circumstances, events, testimonies,
& investigations; as well as the details regarding the witnesses & suspects, etc..., on that fateful day.

I thought there might be some possible new light shed on the JFK events, after having read the article. But, Travis' e-mail to me shot that down real fast.
And, he carbon-copied his response to me, and sent it to a ton of people on his mailing list, including Arianna Huffington. So, he was very serious about his views.

Sometimes such cynicism seems shocking, though.

What is The Truth ?? Will We Ever Know ??

Scientists Cast Doubt on Kennedy Bullet Analysis

.

Multiple Shooters Possible, Study Says

By John Solomon
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, May 17, 2007; Page A03

In a collision of 21st-century science and decades-old conspiracy theories, a research team that includes a former top FBI scientist is challenging the bullet analysis used by the government to conclude that Lee Harvey Oswald alone shot the two bullets that struck and killed President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

The "evidence used to rule out a second assassin is fundamentally flawed," concludes a new article in the Annals of Applied Statistics written by former FBI lab metallurgist William A. Tobin and Texas A&M University researchers Cliff Spiegelman and William D. James.
The researchers' re-analysis involved new statistical calculations and a modern chemical analysis of bullets from the same batch Oswald is purported to have used. They reached no conclusion about whether more than one gunman was involved, but urged that authorities conduct a new and complete forensic re-analysis of the five bullet fragments left from the assassination in Dallas.

"Given the significance and impact of the JFK assassination, it is scientifically desirable for the evidentiary fragments to be re-analyzed," the researchers said.

Watergate,Nixon ,and JFK Oh My! :(

Why Nixon Resigned Instead Of Facing Impeachment.

"Why, when Nixon's re-election was a study in foregone conclusions, was it necessary to break into the DNC headquarters at the Watergate?"
Years later, it did come out what had been the motive for the break-in. It was connected to what Nixon called "Hanky Panky" on the White House tapes.
The DNC had gotten copies of the photographs taken of the three tramps in Dealey Plaza, and identified two of them as long time Nixon henchmen E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis. This put the DNC in a position to at least blackmail the President, if not expose him outright. This is why E. Howard Hunt lead the break-in; it was his own ass he was trying to save.

The photos resurfaced as part of a news story, and E. Howard Hunt sued the publisher, Liberty Lobby. He lost. Attorney Mark Lane provided witnesses that placed E. Howard Hunt in Dealey Plaza at the time that John F. kennedy was killed.

Salon-JFK Assassination Search

"Brothers"

The exclusive story of Robert F. Kennedy's secret search for the truth about John F. Kennedy's assassination. From the new book by Salon's founder and former editor in chief.

Editor's note: Visit David Talbot's blogBlog on the hidden history of the Kennedy years.

One of the most intriguing mysteries about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, that darkest of American labyrinths, is why his brother Robert F. Kennedy apparently did nothing to investigate the crime. Bobby Kennedy was, after all, not just the attorney general of the United States at the time of the assassination -- he was his brother's devoted partner, the man who took on the administration's most grueling assignments, from civil rights to organized crime to Cuba, the hottest Cold War flashpoint of its day. But after the burst of gunfire in downtown Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, ended this unique partnership, Bobby Kennedy seemed lost in a fog of grief, refusing to discuss the assassination with the Warren Commission, and telling friends he had no heart for an aggressive investigation. "What difference does it make?" he would say. "It won't bring him back."

But Bobby Kennedy was a complex man, and his years in Washington had taught him to keep his own counsel and proceed in a subterranean fashion. What he said in public about Dallas was not the full story. Privately, RFK -- who had made his name in the 1950s as a relentless investigator of the underside of American power -- was consumed by the need to know the real story about his brother's assassination. This fire seized him on the afternoon of Nov. 22, as soon as FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover, a bitter political enemy, phoned to say -- almost with pleasure, thought Bobby -- that the president had been shot. And the question of who killed his brother continued to haunt Kennedy until the day he too was gunned down, on June 5, 1968.

Re: E. Howard Hunt

"(He) has been an alleged conspirator in the JFK assassination almost since the beginning, when he was accused of being one of the three tramps arrested in Dealey Plaza on Nov. 22. In 1985, he lost a libel trial—Hunt vs. Liberty Lobby—that was successfully turned into a virtual trial of the JFK assassination by defendant attorney Mark Lane, who also represented Lee Harvey Oswald before his untimely murder by mobster Jack Ruby. Lane brilliantly dissected Hunt on the witness stand, exposing the multiple, contradictory lies about his whereabouts on Nov. 22 (in Dallas, acting as paymaster of the hit, according to witness Marita Lorenz), and convincing the jury that the CIA (Hunt’s longtime employer before he joined Nixon’s plumbers’ squad) participated in the assassination.

It should be one of the most famous trials in American history, but it also was successfully quarantined by our own Pravda poodles, never making headlines beyond the local Miami news (see Lane’s book about the trial, Plausible Denial).

Hunt died in January of this year. In April, his handwritten and taped confession, delivered to his son, was published in Rolling Stone, alleging a chain of command with LBJ at the top, and CIA operatives Cord Meyer and David Atlee Phillips as the two main capos organizing the JFK hit. Hunt’s own role, according to the confession, was only as a “benchwarmer.”

True believers have heralded the confession as the long-awaited lost gospel, while the debunkers and MSM have simply ignored it, diverting the public’s attention to Vincent Bugliosi’s massive defense of the Warren Commission, the just published Reclaiming History. Like the 16 volumes of the Warren Commission, it attempts to awe by sheer weight (1600 pages!), but it must struggle against the Himalayan mass of pro-conspiracy literature (much of it exceptionally well-researched) over the last 45 years. I have yet to read his account of the Magic Bullet theory (concocted by Arlen Specter), but I’m sure it’s as risible as all the other absurd rationalizations.

As a longtime student of the JFK assassination, I judge Hunt’s confession to be a mixture of truth and disinformation—typical of spook work, and typical of Hunt himself, who published numerous James Bond-like novels, and forged documents to implicate JFK in the Diem assassination. LBJ and Phillips—I would rate their involvement as 90% certain (along with Hoover and a few other characters from military intelligence and the radical anti-Castro exile community). But Cord Meyer’s involvement, and Hunt’s role as “benchwarmer” are doubtful. Meyer was a liberal, accused of Communist sympathies by McCarthy, while Hunt evinced a visceral hatred of JFK, even claiming years after the event that the Soviet missiles were never removed from Cuba after the October crisis.

Hunt asserts the affair between Mary Pinchot Meyer, Cord’s ex-wife, as a motive for his involvement, but the Meyers were divorced in 1958 and the affair began in 1960. Mary was murdered in 1964 and the case remains unsolved. In a 2001 interview with writer David Heymann, Cord was asked about Mary’s murder—who could have done it? Cord replied, “The same sons of bitches that killed John F. Kennedy.” (Read the full story about Mary Meyer including her acid trips with JFK here.)

One of those SOBs was probably E. Howard Hunt. I credit the information brought out in the Hunt vs. Liberty Lobby trial. Replace Hunt himself for Cord Meyer at some level, and the amended confession rings true.

Polls reveal that more than 75 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald; some even believe Oswald was entirely innocent.

Vincent Bugliosi, prosecutor of Charles Manson and the author of the number one bestseller "Helter Skelter" has spent 20 years investigating the assassination and its aftermath. "Reclaiming History," Bugliosi's absorbing and historic book - the first ever to cover the entire case - shows how we have come to believe such lies about the tragic event. Using the skills that made him one of the most successful prosecutors in legal history, Bugliosi has examined every conspiracy theory from every angle.

E. Howard Hunt Dies

.

January 24, 2007
E. Howard Hunt Dies
E. Howard Hunt has died. More than any individual since World War Two, this man represents the death of the American Dream.

The working class (guys like my father) who fought in World War Two...kicked ass, saved the world, came home and started families and went back to work, thought they had it all in the late 1940's and early 1950's.

Then came E. Howard Hunt and his CIA. Men who poisoned the American Dream and the promise that America made to the world after WW2.

John Kennedy tried to be that guy who brought forth his nation into the world of nuclear weapons and technological advances that put the moon in our grasp, but guys like E. Howard Hunt killed him...and propped men like Richard Nixon onto the throne.

Anything…anything for the cause…E. Howard Hunt even made us accept regicide.

We want to believe the 'Greatest Generation' led us through the dark years of the Great Depression and safely out of WW2 and the Cold War and are now passing into their place in the history of the United States. Isn’t it pretty to think so?

The Greatest Generation did those things, but E. Howard Hunt is of that generation, too. He betrayed his generation and squandered the gains made by American Democracy in the first half of the 20th century.

More than the G.I. and Rosie the Riveter, more than Jack Kennedy, or Norman Mailer, John Wayne or Spencer Tracy or even Ronald Reagan the Greatest Generation is E. Howard Hunt, is Richard Nixon, is George Bush Sr. These are the guys that won in the end.

The rock that the current Bush Administration lives under was put there by E. Howard Hunt. He walked through the second half of the 20th century like a Greek deity, half human/half god dispensing his brand of justice as he and his Agency saw fit.

They toppled governments, crushed democracies and the people around the world trying to live in them. People who thought that victory in WW2 meant liberation were soon wiped out. This includes in America. We didn’t get defeated by the Empire of Japan or Nazi Germany. Nor did we get taken over by Communists. But our industry was destroyed just as if we were bombed into submission. Our liberties have been destroyed as much as if by a fanatical dictator and his invading armies.
E. Howard Hunt brought us that.

World War Two was fought in vain because men like E. Howard Hunt rendered the victory meaningless.

JFK’s assassination. LBJ’s abandonment of the Great Society for the Vietnam War. Robert Kennedy’s assassination. Nixon’s Presidency. Ronald Reagan’s paper presidency. The rise of Corporate Media. The Bush Family. The Republican Congress of the 1990’s and early 2000’s. Does this sound like victory?

Maybe we had to sink so low as to have Bush Jr. steal the election of 2000, and the humiliation of 9/11and the Homeland Security Act and Dick Cheney lurking in the halls of power once again, for us to realize that the United States of America lost its way in the second half of the 20th century because we let E. Howard Hunt make the decisions for us.

We can’t go back in time. We can’t pretend we didn’t do the things we did and as a people accepted them. America has a lot to answer for. So let’s not pretend Gerald Ford was a great and noble man. Or that Ronald was not senile in his second term. Or that a 24 year old loser shot JFK in the way JFK was shot, or that we were right in Central America in the 1950’s or the 1980’s or that we are right in Iraq now.

We need to look at where were are as a nation, post E. Howard Hunt’s America and move forward.

We have to turn our wars inward against poverty, and health-care cost and mismanagement, and education failures, and environmental crimes. We have to participate in our democracy.

E. Howard Hunt is dead, so maybe it is safe to come out of our homes once again and try to remember the promise that America made to the world and to itself after WW2…Liberty and Justice for all

Cuba's #2 official today was coup leader for JFK in Nov 63, US gov reveals!

By Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann.

NOVEMBER 22, 1963, 12:29 PM DALLAS, TEXAS: Films show a sunny blue sky on a crisp November day, the sidewalks mobbed with cheering throngs hailing their President and First Lady as they near Dealey Plaza. At that moment—more than a year after the Cuban Missile Crisis—Cuba was far from the minds of those in the crowd. The same was true for the rest of the American public. Yet John F. Kennedy had a secret plan for Cuba in the fall of 1963—nearing a critical juncture on November 22—that would play a key role in his death, and be a major reason so much would be covered up for so long. The hardcover edition of Ultimate Sacrifice revealed this plan for the first time, transforming the history of the Kennedy years and providing crucial new information that cast JFK assassination in a whole new light. This new, revised edition of Ultimate Sacrifice can now provide the final piece of the JFK puzzle, the rest of the story that America and the world have waited over forty years to hear.

CIA mail monitoring of Oswald

Thanks Catharine! :)

CIA mail monitoring of Oswald
Submitted by Catharine on Tue, 09/25/2007 - 1:53pm.
Sept. 25, 2007 -- Congressional committee inquired about CIA mail monitoring of Oswald

WMR has obtained a letter, dated June 7, 1976, from New York Congresswoman Bella Abzug to then-CIA Director George Bush asking him for files concerning the CIA's monitoring of Lee Harvey Oswald's mail to and from the USSR before and after Oswald renounced his U.S. citizenship in Moscow on October 31, 1959.

Abzug was the Chairwoman of the House Government Information and Individual Rights Subcommittee of the Committee on Government Operations. Abzug posed several questions about the CIA's 1953-1973 mail intercept program but was particularly interested in the agency's intercepts of Oswald's mail.

Abzug's questions were:

"Was Lee Harvey Oswald (or aliases) on any US-USSR mail intercept watchlist, or any other watchlist, either before or after he renounced his U.S. citizenship before consular officials at the U.S. embassy in Moscow, on October 31, 1959?

How many envelopes to or from Lee Harvey Oswald (or aliases) were photographed or copied, how many letters to or from Lee Harvey Oswald (or aliases) were photographed or copied, and what was the date of each interception?"

Abzug further requested "that copies of all envelopes and letters photographed or copied involving Lee Harvey Oswald (or aliases), as well as any memoranda, messages, index entries, documents and other records relating to mail intercept or mail cover operations involving Lee Harvey Oswald (or aliases), be promptly supplied to this Subcommittee."

CIA files also contained an August 1973 article in Penthouse titled "The Oswald-FBI Cover-UP," by George O'Toole. The article concerned the release on June 6, 1974 of a formerly Top Secret document from the National Archives. It was the minutes of a Warren Commission meeting held on January 27, 1964. Although the Warren Commission concluded Oswald was the lone assassin, the meeting on January 27 discussed a phone call to the Commission from Waggoner Carr, the Attorney General of Texas. Waggoner informed the Commission that Oswald was recruited by the FBI as an informant in September 1962 at a salary of $200 a month. Furthermore, Oswald was assigned FBI informer number S-179 and remained an informer until his arrest after President Kennedy's assassination in Dallas.

Carr told the Commission that his source on Oswald's status was Henry Wade, the District Attorney of Dallas. Wade also had some other startling information for the Commission: Oswald had also been a CIA informant and was assigned the number 11069 by the CIA. On January 27, 1964, the Commission's General Counsel, J. Lee Rankin, informed the Commission that the Secret Service provided him the same information about Oswald and the FBI the day before Waggoner's phone call to Rankin. One Commission member was not present on January 27 to hear the startling revelations: Gerald R. Ford. Ford appointed George H. W. Bush as CIA Director in 1976.

MORE on Bush-JFK

(More Articles/Posts-Interesting)

This guy has it all worked out, and supplemental to things mentioned in John Hankey's documentary. A lot of kinky details. Oliver Stone's JFK film released in 1991.

A newly discovered FBI document reveals that George Bush was directly involved in the 1963 murder of President John Kennedy. The document places Bush working with the now-famous CIA agent, Felix Rodriguez, recruiting right-wing Cuban exiles for the invasion of Cuba. It was Bush's CIA job to organize the Cuban community in Miami for the invasion. The Cubans were trained as marksmen by the CIA. Bush at that time lived in Texas. Hopping from Houston to Miami weekly, Bush spent 1960 and '61 recruiting Cubans in Miami for the invasion. That is how he met Felix Rodriguez.

You may remember Rodriguez as the Iran-contra CIA agent who received the first phone call telling the world the CIA plane flown by Gene Hasenfus had crashed in Nicaragua. As soon as Rodriguez heard that the plane crashed, he called his long-time CIA supervisor, George Bush. Bush denied being in the contra loop, but investigators recently obtained copies of Oliver North's diary, which documents Bush's role as a CIA supervisor of the contra supply network.

Old JFK documents may stir controversy

Sun Feb 17, 2008 3:05pm EST

DALLAS (Reuters) - A batch of old documents linked to the slaying of President John F. Kennedy has reportedly been unearthed, including a highly suspect transcript of a conversation between assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and Oswald's killer Jack Ruby, the Dallas Morning News said on Sunday.

The newspaper said the Dallas County district attorney's office, which uncovered the documents, would display its discovery at a news conference on Monday morning.

The Morning News said the items found in an old safe in a Dallas courthouse included personal letters from former District Attorney Henry Wade, the prosecutor in the Ruby trial. Ruby shot Oswald two days after the president's death.

Also found were official records from Ruby's trial, a gun holster and clothing that probably belonged to Ruby and Oswald, District Attorney Craig Watkins told the newspaper.

But one potentially controversial item is a transcript of an exchange between Oswald and Ruby in which they discuss killing Kennedy to halt the mafia-busting agenda of his brother, Attorney General Robert Kennedy.

The Morning News said one theory about the transcript was that it was part of a movie script Wade was working on with producers, for a film that was never made.

Exclusive: Papers show DA's role in JFK film

Were They All Corrupt ?

Exclusive: Letters buried among long-hidden Kennedy assassination documents outline role that Henry Wade played in failed film - and how he tried to profit

12:00 AM CST on Sunday, February 24, 2008
By DAVID FLICK and DAVID TARRANT / The Dallas Morning News

Henry Wade, the legendary Dallas County district attorney known for his no-nonsense style, apparently was not immune to the lure of a little movie magic.

And the man with a reputation for unshakeable integrity was agreeable to receiving thousands of dollars in return for giving filmmakers exclusive access to legal documents connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, some of which were kept from the public for another four decades.

The existence of 15 boxes of JFK-related material, locked away in a DA's office safe, was announced Monday by Craig Watkins, the current district attorney, who said his predecessors had kept the documents under wraps even after Mr. Wade's retirement.

Mr. Wade died in 2001, and several calls to surviving family members were not returned.

Tantalizing new details about the little-known episode of Mr. Wade's involvement in a movie venture about the Nov. 22, 1963, JFK assassination and the trial of Jack Ruby were found in a Dallas Morning News examination of the long-hidden files.

What emerges is a story that sometimes resembles comic opera but contains what appears to be a breach of ethics.

(One item that did not surface in the files revealed this week by Mr. Watkins – at least in those viewed by The News – was the script to Countdown in Dallas.

But Mr. Larsen gave a copy of the script to Dick West, the late editorial page editor of The News. Elizabeth West now has her grandfather's copy.

She described the photoplay as "trite," and "one of the worst things I've ever seen," said Ms. West, a New York graphic artist.

"If you went to film school and took a class on documentary, this is everything you should not do," she said.

She contradicts a theory expressed by Mr. Watkins at the Monday news conference that a disputed "transcript" – allegedly a conversation between Ruby and Oswald plotting the president's death – might have been part of the movie script.

Ms. West said the purported dialogue appears nowhere in the screenplay.)

New evidence suggests second shooter killed RFK

David Edwards and Nick Juliano
Published: Wednesday March 26, 2008

Forty years after Democratic rising star Robert F. Kennedy was killed at a Los Angeles hotel during his presidential run, new evidence suggests the man serving a life sentence for his murder did not fire the shots that killed the charismatic senator.

Forensic scientists met at a conference in Connecticut this week to discuss their independent findings that cast serious doubt on the Kennedy assassination. Sirhan Sirhan is serving a life sentence in Kennedy's death, but the conference presenters argue he could not have fired the fatal shot that killed Kennedy.

One investigator, Dr. Robert Joling, has studied the Kennedy assassination for nearly four decades. He determined the fatal shot came from behind Kennedy, while Sirhan was four to six feet in front of the senator and never got close enough to shoot him from behind, an NBC affiliate reports.

Analysis by another forensics engineer, Philip Van Praag, of a Canadian journalists tape recording, known as the Pruszynski recording, determined that 13 shots were fired while Kennedy was killed, although Sirhan's gun only held eight bullets, according to the NBC reporter. This suggests that a second shooter was involved in the assassination.

Van Praag's analysis led him to conclude that a second gun that was fired matched a type owned by one of the security guards in Kennedy's entourage.

"When that security guard was asked about owning that gun at first he admitted, 'Yes I owned that kind of gun but I got rid of it two months before the assassination.'" correspondent Amy Parmenter said on MSNBC Wednesday. "It turns out upon further investigation, in fact, he did not get rid of that gun until five months after the shooting. Of course, you can see where we're going with this. ... That security guard, was in fact behind Senator Kennedy when the fatal shot was fired."

This video is from MSNBC News Live, broadcast March 26, 2008.

The reason for the assassination
was to control the power of the presidency.

The shocking nature of what you are about to read in this article makes it imperative that you be aware of some of the credentials and experience of the author.
From 1955 to December 31, 1963, Col. L. Fletcher Prouty was the Focal Point (liason) officer between the Pentagon and the CIA. During 1962 and 1963 he was Director of Special Plans (clandestine operations) in the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In 1971 he was the president of the Financial Marketing Council, Washington, D.C.

He is the author of numerous articles and of The Secret Team, published by Prentice Hall (1973) and Ballantine Books (1974).

How was the Warren Commission kept
from investigating and seeing evidence?
This is the real issue.
This is a crime to top the crime.

WHEN THEY KILL A PRESIDENT

By Roger Craig -- © 1971

Roger Craig was a Deputy Sheriff in Dallas at the time of the assassination of President Kennedy. He was a member of a group of men from Dallas County Sheriff James Eric "Bill" Decker's office that was directed to stand out in front of the Sheriff's office on Main Street (at the corner of Houston) and "take no part whatsoever in the security of that motorcade." Once he heard the first shot, Roger Craig immediately bolted towards Houston Street. His participation in the formative hours of the investigation during the rest of that day and into the evening included observations and experiences that would have singlehandedly destroyed the entire Warren Commission fairy tale before a grand jury or a Congressional investigation.
Roger Craig was named the Dallas Sheriff's Department "Officer of the Year" in 1960 by the Dallas Traffic Commission. He received four promotions while he was Deputy Sheriff. Among the most important events he witnessed:

at approximately 12:40 p.m., Deputy Craig was standing on the south side of Elm Street when he heard a shrill whistle coming from the north side of Elm and turned to see a man -- wearing faded blue trousers and a long sleeved work shirt made of some type of grainy material -- come running down the grassy knoll from the direction of the TSBD. He saw a light green Rambler station wagon coming slowly west on Elm Street, pull over to the north curb and pick up the man coming down the hill. By this time the traffic was too heavy for him to be able to reach them before the car drove away going west on Elm.

after witnessing the above scene, Deputy Craig ran to the command post at Elm and Houston to report the incident to the authorities. When he got there and asked who was involved in the investigation, a man turned to him and said "I'm with the Secret Service." Craig recounted what he had just seen. This "Secret Service" man showed little interest in Craig's description of the people leaving, but seemed extremely interested in the description of the Rambler to the degree this was the only part of the recounting that he wrote down. (On 12/22/67, Roger Craig learned from Jim Garrison that this man's name was Edgar Eugene Bradley, a right wing preacher from North Hollywood, California and part-time assistant to Carl McIntire, the fundamentalist minister who had founded the American Counsel of Christian Churches. Then-governor Ronald Reagan refused to grant the extradition request from Garrison for the indictment of Bradley during the New Orleans Probe.)

immediately after this Craig was told by Sheriff Decker to help the police search the TSBD. Deputy Craig was one of the two people to find the three rifle cartridges on the floor beneath the window on the southeast corner of the sixth floor. All three were no more than an inch apart and all were lined up in the same direction. One of the three shells was crimped on the end which would have held the slug. It had not been stepped on but merely crimped over on one small portion of the rim. The rest of that end was perfectly round.

he was present at when the rifle was found, and, along with Deputy Eugene Boone who had first spotted the weapon, was immediately joined by police Lt. Day, Homicide Capt. Fritz, and deputy constable Seymour Weitzman, an expert on weapons who had been in the sporting goods business for many years and was familiar with all domestic and foreign makes. Lt. Day briefly inspected the rifle and handed it to Capt. Fritz who asked if anyone knew what kind of rifle it was. After a close examination, Weitzman declared it to be a 7.65 German Mauser. Capt. Fritz agreed with him.

at the moment when Capt. Fritz concurred with Weitzman's identification of the rifle, an unknown Dallas police officer came running up the stairs and advised Capt. Fritz that a Dallas policeman had been shot in the Oak Cliff area. Craig instinctively looked at his watch. The time was 1:06 p.m. (The Warren Commission attempted to move this time back beyond 1:15 to plausible claim Oswald had reached the Tippit murder scene in a more humanly possible time-frame than would be the case if Tippit had the encounter with his murderer any earlier.)

Later in the afternoon Craig received word of Oswald's arrest and that he was suspected of being involved in the Kennedy's murder. He immediately thought of the man running down the grassy knoll and made a telephone call to Capt. Will Fritz to gave him the description of the man he had seen. Fritz said Craig's description sounded like the man they had and asked him to come take a look. When he saw Oswald in Fritz's personal office Deputy Craig confirmed that this was indeed the man, dressed in the same way, that he had seen running down the knoll and into the Rambler. They went into the office together and Fritz told Oswald,

"This man (pointing to me) saw you leave." At which time the suspect replied, "I told you people I did." Fritz, apparently trying to console Oswald, said, "Take it easy, son -- we're just trying to find out what happened." Fritz then said, "What about the car?" Oswald replied, leaning forward on Fritz' desk, "That station wagon belongs to Mrs. Paine -- don't try to drag her into this." Sitting back in his chair, Oswald said very disgustedly and very low, "Everybody will know who I am now."
The fact that Fritz said car and this elicited Oswald's outburst about a station wagon -- that no one else had mentioned -- confirms the veracity of Roger Craig's story.

junior counsel for the Warren Commission Dave Belin, was the man who interview Roger Craig in April of 1964. After the being questioned in what Craig recounts as a very manipulative and selective way, Belin asked "Do you want to follow or waive your signature or sign now?" Craig noted, "Since there was nothing but a tape recording and a stenographer's note book, there was obviously nothing to sign. All other testimony which I have read (a considerable amount) included an explanation that the person could waive his signature then or his statement would be typed and he would be notified when it was ready for signature. Belin did not say this to me." After Craig first saw the transcript in January of 1968 he discoverd that the testimony he gave had been in fourteen different places.
Deputy Sheriff Roger Craig never changed his account of what he witnessed and experienced on Friday, November 22, 1963. (The passage where he describes the methodology employed by David Belin in selectively recording his testimony is highly illuminating and provides us with a glimpse of how the "W.C." interviewed witnesses in a very controlled way.) He remained convinced, for the rest of this life, that the man entering the Rambler station wagon was Lee Harvey Oswald. He was fired from the Sheriff's office on July 4, 1967, and from that day forward he never again could find steady work. Multiple attempts were made on his life, his wife finally left him, and in the end, he was alleged to have shot himself to death on May 15, 1975.

Lawyers and Lizard-Heads

Who killed Martin Luther King Jr ?

The prison letters of James Earl Ray

by Douglas Brinkley and Anne Brinkley

he special-collections department of Boston University's Mugar Memorial Library holds more than 83,000 documents pertaining to the life of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., who received a doctorate in theology from the university in 1955 and established the King archive with a large donation of materials in 1964. Eighteen months ago Howard Gotlieb, the university's director of special collections, quietly augmented the library's holdings with the prison letters of James Earl Ray, the man widely believed to be King's assassin. Earlier this year we were the first people outside the library to be given an opportunity to examine the Ray letters.

The collection consists of approximately 400 letters that James Earl Ray wrote from 1969 to 1997—mostly to his brother Jerry. Prison regulations forbade him to write letters longer than two pages, so Ray was always succinct. The early letters are handwritten, sometimes with a green ball-point pen; as the years went on, Ray became adept at typing. From his cell at Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, an hour from Knoxville, and at Tennessee State Prison and the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution, in Nashville, Ray detailed his battles with wardens, police officers, and legal authorities; his views on celebrity and the news media; and his endless maneuverings to promote some self-exculpatory version of the circumstances behind the King assassination.

The Ray collection offers an intimate glimpse into the life of a criminal whose adult years were spent almost entirely behind bars. James Earl Ray was born in 1928 in Alton, Illinois, the first of seven children. His father was an ex-convict; his own career outside the law began at an early age. In 1967, imprisoned for robbing a grocery store, Ray escaped from the Missouri State Penitentiary, in Jefferson City, by hiding in a bread crate. He lived free for a year under numerous aliases in the United States and Canada. On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King was shot and killed as he stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel, in Memphis. Prosecutors contended that Ray fired the fatal shot from the bathroom of a rooming house. He was apprehended at London's Heathrow Airport two months after the assassination.

During the thirty years of his imprisonment Ray often sought to persuade the world that he was a fall guy framed by the FBI or by organized crime. Initially Ray had confessed to killing King; he agreed to a plea bargain and was given a prison sentence of ninety-nine years. Soon after his sentencing, however, he recanted his confession. Much of Ray's correspondence deals with his subsequent efforts to overturn the plea bargain and have his case brought to trial, which the State of Tennessee opposed. The convoluted legal battle continued until Ray's death, in 1998, and ultimately made Ray deeply conversant with the technicalities of the law.

Did the Elites Want MLK Dead--If So, Why?

By ALEXANDER COCKBURN

I believe Oswald killed JFK and Sirhan killed Bobby. Lone gunmen both. With MLK, it could be a different matter. And with the infinitely more radical Malcom X it certainly was. The Kennedys were no threat to ruling power. They were part of the ruling power. Whatever his actual function--and King was given a hard time as an Uncle Tom by radicals in the later Sixties--the ruling power construed him as a threat.

He was assassinated forty years ago just after 6 pm as he stood on a balcony of the Lorraine motel in Memphis, Tennessee. A single rifle bullet hit him in the jaw, then severed his spinal cord. James Earl Ray, a white man, was convicted of the killing and sentenced to 99 years. Ray was certainly the gunman.

But there are credible theories of a conspiracy, possibly involving US Army intelligence, whose role in the life and death of Martin Luther King was explored by Stephens Tompkins in the Memphis Commercial Appeal in 1993.

The Army's interest in the King family stretched back to 1917 when the War Department opened a file on King's maternal grandfather, first president of Atlanta's branch of the NAACP. King's father, Martin Sr., also entered Army intelligence files as a potential troublemaker, as did Martin Jr. in 1947 when he was 18. He was attending Dorothy Lilley's Intercollegiate School in Atlanta and 111th Military Intelligence Group in Fort McPherson in Atlanta suspected Ms Lilley of having Communist ties.

King's famous denunciation of America's war in Vietnam came exactly a year before his murder, before a crowd of 3,000 in the Riverside Church in Manhattan. He described Vietnam's destruction at the hands of ''deadly Western arrogance,'' insisting that ''we are on the side of the wealthy, and the secure, while we create a hell for the poor We were taking the black young men who had been crippled by our society and sending them eight thousand miles away to guarantee liberties in Southeast Asia which they had not found in southwest Georgia and East Harlem." US Army spies secretly recorded black radical Stokely Carmichael warning King, "The Man don't care you call ghettos concentration camps, but when you tell him his war machine is nothing but hired killers you got trouble." Carmichael was right.

E. Howard Hunt

Our man finds his name in CIA's 'family jewels'
Chicago Tribune
by John Crewdson
http://weblogs.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/blog/2007/06/our_man_fin...

Imagine my surprise. There, in the middle of the CIA's "Family Jewels" was my own name: "Thuermer reported on a call from Mr. Crewdson of the New York Times who said he was 'formally requesting' a photograph of Howard Hunt.

"The DDP observed that we are under no obligation to provide a photograph and Thuermer said he had declined." The date was Aug. 22, 1972--still very early days for Watergate. There had been reports that a man named E. Howard Hunt Jr. was somehow involved in the spreading scandal.

Hunt hadn't been arrested at the Watergate break-in. But one of the five burglars carried an address book with his name and the notation "W. House."

Rumor had it that Hunt was a former CIA man, an ex-station chief in Montevideo, who had worn the white "ice cream" suits favored by Graham Greene characters and wrote bad spy novels in his spare time. As a young reporter for the Times, I was pounding the Washington sidewalks trying to get a handle on the man.

Had the household staff spotted him at the Watergate Hotel, or the Howard Johnson's across the street, on the night of the break-in? The problem was, there were no photographs of Hunt to show to maids and room-service waiters, and Angus Thuermer, the CIA's sardonic spokesman, obviously wasn't going to help us obtain one.

When Hunt was summoned to appear before the federal grand jury investigating the Watergate case, a golden opportunity presented itself. I brought my camera to the U.S. Courthouse in downtown Washington, thinking I would snap his picture as he emerged from the grand jury's chamber.

CIA "blowback" haunts Bush 41

Submitted by Catharine on Sat, 07/19/2008 - 8:36pm.

July 16, 2008 -- CIA "blowback" haunts Bush 41

Former President George H. W. Bush had a very good reason to lash out at "conspiracy theorists" in support of the Warren Commission Report at President Gerald Ford's funeral in January 2007. Bush, who oddly used a eulogy for Ford to bring up the assassination of President John F. Kennedy said, "the conspiracy theorists can say what they will , but the Warren Commission report will always have the final definitive say on this tragic matter. Why? Because Jerry Ford put his name on it and Jerry Ford's word was always good."

Bush had good reason to praise Ford. WMR has learned from ex-CIA sources familiar with the November 22, 1963 assassination operation against Kennedy directed by the CIA, elements of the U.S. military, and Mafia mobsters with whom the CIA had a long-standing connection, that George H. W. Bush was present at the Texas School Book Depository at the time multiple sniper teams shot President Kennedy to death.
...
http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/articles/20080716_1

The above photo was taken at the time of Kennedy's shooting. Bush, at the time, was President of Zapata Off-shore Drilling Company in Houston, Texas. WMR's intelligence sources have confirmed that the above photo is that of then-CIA operative George H. W. Bush. Zapata was used as a CIA front for the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961. Individuals standing in the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD) have always been a subject for controversy in the Kennedy assassination. A man who was alleged to have been accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and who was spotted in the TSBD moments after Kennedy's assassination was actually Billy Nolan Lovelady. A photograph taken by Associated Press photographer James Altgens shows Lovelady wearing a plaid shirt, not the solid shirt worn by Oswald.

Billy Lovelady (left) was mis-identified as Oswald. Lovelady died during the House Select Committee on Assassinations hearings.

CIA "blowback" haunts Bush 41 (Con't)

Submitted by Catharine on Sat, 07/19/2008 - 8:48pm.
[cont'd.]

In 2004, this editor wrote the following:

The name "George Bush" appears much too frequently in documents, some newly released, relating to the assassination of President Kennedy. Since there is no statute of limitations on murder or accessory to murder, I can understand why Bush pere and fils may want to erase November 22, 1963 from the history books.

The document trail linking George H. W. Bush to those involved in the assassination of President Kennedy is nothing less than chilling. First is a memo dated November 22, 1963, from FBI Special Agent Graham Kitchel to the FBI Special Agent in Charge in Houston. The subject is "Unknown Subject; Assassination of President John F. Kennedy." The memo states: At 1:45 p.m. Mr. George H. W. Bush, President of the Zapata Off-shore Drilling Company, Houston, Texas, residence 5525 Briar, Houston, telephonically furnished the following information to writer by long distance telephone call from Tyler, Texas.

BUSH stated that he wanted to be kept confidential but wanted to furnish hearsay that he recalled hearing in recent weeks, the day and source unknown. He stated that one JAMES PARROTT has been talking of killing the President when he comes to Houston.

BUSH stated that PARROTT is possibly a student at the University of Houston and is active in political matters in the area. He stated that he felt Mrs. FAWLEY, telephone number SU 2-5239, or ARLENE SMITH, telephone number JA 9-9194 of the Harris County Republican Party Headquarters would be able to furnish additional information regarding the identity of PARROTT.

BUSH stated that he was proceeding to Dallas, Texas, would remain in the Sheraton-Dallas Hotel and return to his residence on 11-23-63. His office telephone number is CA 2-0395.

**

[cont'd]

So we have George H. W. Bush telling the FBI that he did not know the source of the information but knew that a John Bircher named James Parrott, who was the same age as Lee Harvey Oswald (24), wanted to kill President Kennedy in Houston. Bush did not know much about Parrott but gave the name of two Republican Party officials in Houston. Of course, Bush's Zapata Off-Shore Drilling Company had been a CIA front since 1960 and had supplied the Bay of Pigs invasion (code named "Zapata") force with two of his company's ex-U.S. Navy landing craft, renamed the "Barbara J" and the "Houston." In any case, Bush's phone call to the FBI was a false lead, and Parrott was cleared. However, Bush's phone call creates more questions about him than about Parrott. First of all, there is no evidence that Bush was in Tyler when Kennedy was shot. There was no Caller ID in those days that would have allowed Special Agent Kitchel to know, for a fact, that Bush was calling from Tyler. Bush's wife, Barbara, claimed he was in Tyler but Bush once said he may have been in Port-au-Prince, Haiti that day. But Bush himself admits to the FBI that he was booked into the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas on November 22.

Bush always had a keen interest in what files the government had on Kennedy's assassination. When he was CIA Director in 1976, Bush wanted to see all the agency's files on the Kennedy assassination. His memos specifically requested information on Oswald, Jack Ruby, and others linked to the assassination. In her book The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty, author Kitty Kelley writes that "Years later, when [Bush] became president of the United States, he would deny making any attempt to review the agency files on the JFK assassination… when he made this claim, he did not realize that the agency would release 18 documents [under the Freedom of Information Act] that showed he had indeed, as CIA director, requested information-not once, but several times-on a wide range of questions surrounding the Kennedy assassination."

**

[cont'd.]

Then there is the business of the November 29, 1963 memo from the Director of the Department of State's Bureau of Intelligence and Research to J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI Director. The subject is "Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, November 22, 1963." The memo states:

Our sources and informants familiar with Cuban matters in the Miami area advise that the general feeling in the anti-Castro Cuban community is one of stunned disbelief and, even among those who did not entirely agree with the President's policy concerning Cuba, the feeling is that the President's death represents a great loss not only to the U.S. but to all of Latin America. These sources know of no plans for unauthorized action against Cuba.

An informant who has furnished reliable information in the past and who is close to a small pro-Castro group in Miami has advised that these individuals are afraid that the assassination of the President may result in strong repressive measures being taken against them and, although pro-Castro in their feelings, regret the assassination.

The substance of the foregoing information was orally furnished to us, George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency and Captain William Edwards of the Defense Intelligence Agency on November 23, 1963 by Mr. W.T. Forsyth of this Bureau.

A copy of the above memo was furnished to the Director of Naval Intelligence. That is important for reasons that will be explained in the following paragraph.

Not only was George H. W. Bush, a known CIA operative, in Dallas on November 22 but he was also keeping track of the stance of pro-Castroites in Miami. That would have been important because Lee Harvey Oswald, Kennedy's accused assassin was supposed to be a pro-Communist member of the "Fair Play for Cuba Committee." But he was also associated with the "Anti-Communist League of the Caribbean" and "Friends of Democratic Cuba." And his apparent control officer was FBI agent Guy Bannister, formerly of the Chicago FBI office and a former Naval Intelligence officer, whose office "Guy Bannister Associates, Inc." a CIA cut-out for training anti-Castro Cubans, was located at 544 Camp Street in New Orleans. 544 Camp was also the address used by Oswald's "pro-Communist" "Fair Play for Cuba Committee." The local Office of Naval Intelligence was across the street from 544 Camp.

The Director of Naval Intelligence is made privy, as an "info addee," to the aforementioned State Department memo on the reaction of pro- and anti-Castro Cubans in Miami to Kennedy's death.

Oswald, while stationed at a classified U-2 base in Japan as a U.S. Marine, would have had his security clearance adjudicated by the Office of Naval Intelligence.

Bush's role as a CIA operative in the Bay of Pigs invasion, a military action in which the Office of Naval Intelligence was closely involved, suggests that the other links between Bush, ONI, and the anti-Castro Cuban exiles are not benign.

**

[cont'd]

George H. W. Bush has still other, more oblique links to Kennedy assassin. The Houston-based conspirator James Parrott, like Guy Bannister, was a fervent John Bircher. Bannister was not only associated with Oswald but also David Ferrie, the commander of a Louisiana Civil Air Patrol unit whose members included not only Oswald but also James Reynolds Bath, the future buddy and Texas Air National Guard pal of George W. Bush. According to one of Bath's former Houston business associates, Bath became a pilot through the cadet program of the Louisiana Civil Air Patrol, a known recruiting ground for future CIA agents. Six days before Pearl Harbor, the Civil Air Patrol was founded by Dallas oilman David Harold Byrd who also owned the Texas School Book Depository from the 1930s to 1972. Another supporter of the Louisiana Civil Air Patrol was Claire Chennault, the founder of China's "Flying Tigers" and the notorious "Civil Air Transport" of China that later became Air America. Chennault died in New Orleans' murky intelligence-connected Ochsner Foundation Hospital in 1958. In 1964, Byrd apparently removed the "Oswald" window pane from the fifth floor of the Texas School Book Depository and made it a souvenir fixture in his home. [Since this report, WMR has discovered that the late Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) informant and CIA pilot Barry Seal, gunned down on February 19, 1986, gangland-style in Baton Rouge, was also a member of the New Orleans-based Louisiana Civil Air Patrol, along with Bath, Ferrie, and Oswald. Seal was due to testify in a major drug smuggling case that was thought to implicate then-Vice President Bush and Iran-contra felon Oliver North in the smuggling of cocaine from Colombia.]

**

[cont'd]

Another connection between Bush and the assassination is George DeMohrenshildt, an anti-Communist White Russian-émigré who befriended fellow White Russian Marina Oswald and her husband Lee upon their emigration from the Soviet Union to Texas, where DeMohrenshildt was involved in the oil business. DeMohrenshildt's son-in-law told the Warren Commission that is was likely that his father-in-law was involved with the Kennedy assassination. DeMohrenshildt had an interest in pursuing oil exploration contracts with Haitian President Francois "Papa Doc" Duvalier - something that may have involved George H. W. Bush's one-time alibi that he was in Port-au-Prince on November 22, 1963. In March 1977, the House Assassinations Committee was due to interview DeMohrenshildt but just a few hours before his scheduled appearance he was found dead of a "self-inflicted" gun shot wound. When DeMohrenshildt's personal address book was discovered, it was found to contain the following entry:

"Bush, George H.W. (Poppy) 1412 W. Ohio also Zapata Petroleum Midland" Number: "4-6355"

From the directory entry it appeared that DeMohrenshildt, who was rumored to be with the CIA, knew George H. W. (or Poppy as his family calls him) from before 1959, when Bush moved from Midland to Houston. It is also noteworthy that while he was taking care of the Oswalds during 1962, DeMohrenshildt was in close contact with Admiral Henry Bruton, the former Director of Naval Communications, who would have played an important supporting role for Naval Intelligence's activities in the Bay of Pigs invasion.

**

[cont'd]

Seal was also believed to have worked for CIA Miami station chief (and Bay of Pigs coordinator) Ted Shackley in Laos in the late 1960s. The above photo was taken at a Miami nightclub on January 22, 1963 and shows a number of CIA individuals involved in "Operation 40" plots against the Castro government in Cuba. On left, foreground, going clockwise, Felix Rodriguez (who later worked for Vice President Bush in illegal Nicaraguan contra support operations), Porter Goss (who would be named CIA director under George W. Bush and became involved in a prostitution/poker ring at the Watergate. Note: E. Warren Goss, a Boulder, Colorado attorney, has been reportedly involved in secret money movements involving George H. W. Bush. E. Warren Goss is, according to CIA sources in Houston, the brother of Porter Goss), and Seal.

WMR has also recently been told by U.S. intelligence sources that, in addition to the 6th Floor sniper's nest from which Oswald allegedly shot Kennedy, there were snipers positioned in the Dal Tex Building on Dealey Plaza and behind the fence on the Grassy Knoll. In addition, the sources said that assassination conspirators had been infiltrated into the President's motorcade. Others were bought off to change their stories. One, a Texas Department of Public Safety Officer, altered his story about what he saw to FBI and other investigators and was rewarded with an appointment as a Texas Ranger. Perhaps owing to the fact that the circumstances of his appointment were made with the blood of the President, the individual was never presented with the honorary Texas Ranger badge upon his retirement.

WMR has also learned from U.S. intelligence sources that the Egyptian Lounge in Dallas was used as a planning venue for the hit on Kennedy. Co-conspirator Jack Ruby (aka, Jacob Rubinstein) met there with CIA intermediaries to plan the details of the assassination.

It is now also clear why George W. Bush has gone to extraordinary lengths to secure National Archives materials and presidential papers from researchers. Bush's Archivist, Allen Weinstein, has cut a number of deals with the CIA and other agencies to keep secure from the public view a number of documents dealing with past covert and illegal activities by U.S. intelligence. The Kennedy assassination records are no exception and Weinstein has even allowed the "reclassification" of previously declassified documents held by the government.

Henry Wade - After Dallas DA's death, 19 convictions are undone

Dallas District Attorney..1951-1986.
Also,Dallas DA during The JFK Assassination Investigation.

*Gee..Just makes me feel more comfortable as ever that the
JFK Assassination investigation was truthful..Not !

In this March 4, 1986 file photo former Dallas County District Attorney Henry Wade speaks during an interview in Dallas. During an unprecedented 36-year reign as the Dallas County district attorney, Wade convicted more than 90 percent of the defendants in his purview. Nineteen convictions _ so far _ won by Wade and his successors are being overturned, some two-thirds of them involving black men. An estimated 250 cases remain for review. The current district attorney, Craig Watkins, says more will go free. (AP Photo/Steve Krauss, File)

Associated Press Writer / July 29, 2008

DALLAS—As district attorney of Dallas for an unprecedented 36 years, Henry Wade was the embodiment of Texas justice.

A strapping 6-footer with a square jaw and a half-chewed cigar clamped between his teeth, The Chief, as he was known, prosecuted Jack Ruby. He was the Wade in Roe v. Wade. And he compiled a conviction rate so impressive that defense attorneys ruefully called themselves the 7 Percent Club.

But now, seven years after Wade's death, The Chief's legacy is taking a beating.

Nineteen convictions -- three for murder and the rest involving rape or burglary -- won by Wade and two successors who trained under him have been overturned after DNA evidence exonerated the defendants. About 250 more cases are under review.

No other county in America -- and almost no state, for that matter -- has freed more innocent people from prison in recent years than Dallas County, where Wade was DA from 1951 through 1986.

*In the 1960s, Wade secured a murder conviction against Ruby, the Dallas nightclub owner who shot Lee Harvey Oswald after Oswald's arrest in the assassination of President Kennedy. Ruby's conviction was overturned on appeal, and he died before Wade could retry him.

Former President Ford secretly told FBI about panel's doubts on

Former President Ford secretly told FBI about panel's doubts on JFK murder

Associated Press
Published: Saturday August 9, 2008

Former President Ford secretly advised the FBI that two of his fellow members on the Warren Commission doubted the FBI's conclusion that John F. Kennedy was shot from the sixth floor of the Texas Book Depository in Dallas, according to newly released records from Ford's FBI files.

Ford, still a congressman at the time, also told a senior FBI official about internal panel disputes over hiring staff, Chief Justice Earl Warren's timetable for completing the final report on the assassination and what panel members said about the FBI.

In turn, Assistant FBI Director Cartha "Deke" DeLoach confidentially advised Ford of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's position on panel disputes; discussed where leaks were coming from; and, with Hoover's personal approval, loaned him a bureau briefcase with a lock so he could securely take the FBI report on the 1963 assassination with him on a ski trip.

The new details were included in 500 pages of the FBI's large file on Ford, released in part this past week in response to requests under the Freedom of Information Act that The Associated Press and others made on the day Ford died in December 2006. The FBI intends to release additional documents about Ford in several batches, all with parts censored for law enforcement and privacy reasons.

That Ford served as the FBI's eyes and ears inside the commission has been known for years. Long ago, the government released a 1963 FBI memo that said Ford, then a Republican congressman from Michigan, had volunteered to keep the FBI informed about the panel's private deliberations, but only if that relationship remained confidential. The bureau agreed.

It was also well-known Ford was an outspoken proponent of the bureau's conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy acting alone.

A newly released memorandum provides more details about Ford's role as the FBI's informant. DeLoach wrote on Dec. 17, 1963, to outline what Ford told him in the congressman's office about the commission meeting the day before.

"Two members of the commission brought up the fact that they still were not convinced that the President had been shot from the sixth floor window of the Texas Book Depository," DeLoach wrote. "These members failed to understand the trajectory of the slugs that killed the President. He stated he felt this point would be discussed further but, of course, would represent no problem."

There was no explanation of what Ford meant by "no problem."

I am pretty much an agnostic about this whole thing now. Where are the conspirators? There is good evidence against Oswald. Anamolies frequently show up in murder cases, or so I am told. same with science experiments. These do not change the prosecutorial conclusions of the cases or theresults of the experiment I did hear last night that Tip O'Neill heard servicemen say that they saw the shots from the grassy knoll. Tip kept his mouth shut for the sake of national security. We'll see...Find those people. Make them come forward.

I used to be agnostic about the vote flipping to change election outcomes. But we have abundant proof that this happens, and the Republicans do it.

The Kennedy Assasination: The Nixon-Bush Connection

by Paul Kangas

A newly discovered FBI document reveals that George Bush was directly
involved in the 1963 murder of President John Kennedy. The document places
Bush working with the now-famous CIA agent, Felix Rodriguez, recruiting
right-wing Cuban exiles for the invasion of Cuba. It was Bush's CIA job to
organize the Cuban community in Miami for the invasion. The Cubans were
trained as marksmen by the CIA. Bush at that time lived in Texas. Hopping
from Houston to Miami weekly, Bush spent 1960 and '61 recruiting Cubans in
Miami for the invasion. That is how he met Felix Rodriguez. You may remember
Rodriguez as the Iran-contra CIA agent who received the first phone call
telling the world the CIA plane flown by Gene Hasenfus had crashed in
Nicaragua. As soon as Rodriguez heard that the plane crashed, he called his
long-time CIA supervisor, George Bush. Bush denied being in the contra loop,
but investigators recently obtained copies of Oliver North's diary, which
documents Bush's role as a CIA supervisor of the contra supply network. In
1988 Bush told Congress he knew nothing about the illegal supply flights
until 1987, yet North's diary shows Bush at the first planning meeting Aug.
6, 1985. Bush's "official" log placed him somewhere else. Such double sets of
logs are intended to hide Bush's real role in the CIA; to provide him with
"plausible deniability." The problem is, it fell apart because too many
people, like North and Rodriguez, have kept records that show Bush's CIA role
back to the 1961 invasion of Cuba. (Source: The Washington Post, 7/10/90).
That is exactly how evidence was uncovered placing George Bush working with
Felix Rodriguez when JFK was killed. A memo from FBI head J. Edgar Hoover was
found, stating that, "Mr. George Bush of the CIA had been briefed on November
23rd, 1963 about the reaction of anti-Castro Cuban exiles in Miami to the
assassination of President Kennedy. (Source: The Nation, 8/13/88). On the day
of the assassination Bush was in Texas, but he denies knowing exactly where
he was. Since he had been the supervisor for the secret Cuban teams, headed
by former Cuban police commander Felix Rodriguez, since 1960, it is likely
Bush was also in Dallas in 1963. Several of the Cubans he was supervising as
dirty-tricks teams for Nixon, were photographed in the Zagruder film. In 1959
Rodriguez was a top cop in the Cuban government under Batista. When Batista
was overthrown and fled to Miami, Rodriguez went with him, along with Frank
Sturgis and Rafael Quintero. Officially, Rodriguez didn't join the CIA until
1967, after the CIA invasion of Cuba, in which he participated, and the
assassination of JFK. But records recently uncovered show he actually joined
the CIA in 1961 for the invasion of Cuba when he was recruited by George
Bush. That is how Rodriguez claims he became a "close personal friend of
Bush." Then "officially" Rodriguez claims he quit the CIA in 1976, just after
he was sent to prison for his role in the Watergate burglary. However,
according to Rolling Stone reporters Kohn & Monks (11/3/88), Rodriguez still
goes to CIA headquarters monthly to receive assignments and have his blue
1987 bulletproof Cadillac serviced. Rodriguez was asked by a Rolling Stone
reporter where he was the day JFK was shot, and claims he can't remember.
George Bush claims he never worked for the CIA until he was appointed
director by former Warren Commission director and then President Jerry Ford,
in 1976. Logic suggests that is highly unlikely. Of course, Bush has a
company duty to deny being in the CIA. The CIA is a secret organization. No
one ever admits to being a member. The truth is that Bush has been a top CIA
official since before the 1961 invasion of Cuba, working with Felix
Rodriguez. Bush may deny his actual role in the CIA in 1959, but there are
records in the files of Rodriguez and others involved in the Bay of Pigs
invasion of Cuba that expose Bush's role. The corporations would not put
somebody in charge of all the state secrets held by the CIA unless he was
experienced and well trained in the CIA. (Source: Project Censored Report,
Feb 1989, Dr Carl Jensen, Sonoma State College). Recently I interviewed
former CIA liaison officer L. Fletcher Prouty. He is a consultant for the
excellent new movie on how the CIA killed JFK, being made by Oliver Stone. He
told me that one of the projects he did for the CIA was in 1961 to deliver US
Navy ships from a Navy ship yard to the CIA agents in Guatemala planning the
invasion of Cuba. He said he delivered three ships to a CIA agent named
George Bush, who had the 3 ships painted to look like they were civilian
ships. That CIA agent then named the 3 ships after: his wife, his home town
and his oil company. He named the ships: Barbara, Houston & Zapata. Any book
on the history of the Bay of Pigs will prove the names of those 3 ships.
Again, this is more finger prints of George Bush's involvement in the Bay of
Pigs invasion. Yet Bush denies his role in this great adventure. Why would
Bush be so shy about his role in this war? What is the secret? Is there
something dirty about this war that Bush & Nixon don't want the public to
know about? Answer: Yes there is. The same people involved in the Bay of Pigs
were the people involved in the Watergate burglary. Why was the Watergate
burgalarized [sic]? The CIA was trying to plug up a possible news leak. They
were trying to stop the Democrats from publishing the photos of Hunt &
Sturgis under arrest for the murder of JFK (May 7, 1977, SF Chronicle.)
Presently, there is a law suit attempting to force the government to release
the records about the Bay of Pigs invasion. Why are those documents still
secret? Why are they locked in the National Archives along with all the
photos from [the] Dallas assassination of JFK? Why are the 4000 hours of
Watergate tapes in which Nixon is babbling about the mysterious connections
between the Bay of Pigs, Dallas and Watergate also being sealed in the
National Archives? Is it because all three incidents are connected? Yes.

*Over and over on the Watergate tapes, these names come
up around the discussion of the photos from Dallas that Nixon was trying to
obtain when he ordered the CIA to burglarize the Watergate. (Source: Three
Men and a Barge", Teresa Riordan, Common Cause magazine, March/April 1990,
and San Francisco Chronicle, May 7,1977, interview with Frank Sturgis in
which he stated that "the reason we burglarized the Watergate was because
Nixon was interested in stopping news leaking related to the photos of our
role in the assassination of President John Kennedy.")

The Case for a Conspiracy

By Philip Stahl

As most of us are aware, alt.conspiracy.jfk is a newsgroup dedicated (as
its name implies) to a discussion of the *conspiracy* which we believe
underlies JFK's assassination.

The REAL FAQ, naturally adopts the conspiracy viewpoint, i.e. showing
in detail how and why we believe a conspiracy is at the root of the JFK
assassination. The term 'REAL FAQ' itself arose at a time the only other
(unofficial) FAQ available was actually founded on the 'lone nut' doctrine.
That is, the 'official position' that one lone, deranged gunman was
responsible for what happened on November 22, 1963.

Most of the questions used have been culled from six years of postings
dating back to mid-1994, when I first 'arrived'. Questions on the same
or similar topic are included under the general 'header' of a main
question,

i.e. 2), 2A) 2B) 2C) Etc.

A variety of sources will be cited - not merely books, but also videos
where appropriate - since visual documentation is often as important than
written. Also e-mails and references from reports by other JFK
researchers, are made available.

The conspiracy viewpoint gives no preferential benediction to
any particular source or source type- firmly believing that the serious
information seeker should avail him/herself of as many diverse sources
as possible and arrive at his/her own decision regarding the
assassination - rather than being 'force fed'.

The JFK Assassination: Defending the Gangster State

(originally published in 1996)

By Michael Parenti

Much of history is a chronicle of immense atrocities. Whenever surplus wealth accumulates in any society, whenever people emerge from a cooperative subsistence economy, some portion of the population will do everything it can to exploit the labor of the rest of the people in as pitiless a manner as possible. This is true whether it be the slaveholders of ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the antebellum American South; or the feudal aristocracy of medieval Europe; or the financial moguls of modern capitalist society. Today, throughout much of the capitalist Third World and increasingly in the United States and other industrialized nations, people are being driven into desperation and want, made to work harder for less, when able to find work.

The Gangster State

The state is the instrument used in all these societies by the wealthy few to impoverish and maintain control over the many. Aside from performing collective functions necessary for all societies, the state has the particular task of protecting the process of accumulating wealth for the few. Throughout our country's history, people have fought back and sometimes gained a limited degree of self-protective rights: universal suffrage, civil liberties, the right to collective bargaining, the eight-hour day, public education, social security, and some human services. While these democratic gains are frequently violated and prove insufficient as a restraint against state power, their importance should not be denied.

Today in the much vaunted western democracies there exists a great deal of unaccountable state power whose primary function is to maintain the existing politico-economic structure, using surveillance, infiltration, sabotage, judicial harassment, disinformation, trumped-up charges and false arrests, tax harassment, blackmail, and even violence and assassination to make the world safe for those who own it.

There exists a state within the state, known as the national security state, a component of misgovernment centering around top officers in the CIA, DIA, FBI, the Pentagon, and policymakers in the Executive Office of the White House. These elements have proven themselves capable of perpetrating terrible crimes against dissidents at home and abroad. National security state agencies like the CIA, in the service of dominant economic interests, have enlisted the efforts of mobsters, drug traffickers, assassins, and torturers, systematically targeting peasant leaders, intellectuals, journalists, student leaders, clergy, labor union leaders, workers, and community activists in numerous countries. Hundreds of thousands of people have been murdered to prevent social change, to destroy any government or social movement that manifests an unwillingness to reduce its people to economic fodder for the giant corporations that rule the world's economy.

JFK, the Media Mugging

Occasionally an incident occurs that reveals in an unusually vivid manner the gangster nature of the state. The assassination of President John Kennedy in November 1963 is such an occasion. The dirty truth is that Kennedy was heartily hated by right-wing forces in this country, including many powerful people in the intelligence organizations. He had betrayed the national interest as they defined it, by refusing to go all out against Cuba, making overtures of rapproachment with Castro, and refusing to escalate the ground war in Vietnam. They also saw him as an anti-business liberal who was taking the country down the wrong path. Whether Kennedy really was all that liberal is another matter. What the national security rightists saw him to be was what counted.

To know the truth about the assassination of John Kennedy is to call into question the state security system and the entire politico-economic order it protects. This is why for over thirty years the corporate-owned press and numerous political leaders have suppressed or attacked the many revelations about the murder unearthed by independent investigators like Mark Lane, Peter Dale Scott, Carl Oglesby, Harold Weisberg, Anthony Summers, Philip Melanson, Jim Garrison, Cyril Wecht, Jim Marrs, Gaeton Fonzi, Sylvia Meagher, Michael Canfield, James DiEugenio, and many others. These investigators have been described as "assassination buffs." The term "buff" is a diminishing characterization, describing someone who pursues odd hobbies. For the same reason that we would not refer to "Holocaust buffs," so should we not refer to these serious investigators as "assassination buffs." Their efforts reveal a conspiracy to assassinate the president and an even more extensive conspiracy to hide the crime.

While ignoring their revelations, the media have given fulsome publicity to the likes of Gerald Posner, author of Case Closed, a grotesque whitewash of the assassination. Posner's book was not a sloppy, confused work but a deliberate contrivance that used outright untruths to conclude that Lee Harvey Oswald was a disgruntled lone leftist who killed Kennedy. Posner could get away with his misrepresentations because those who have written systematic exposures of his book were either ignored by the corporate owned media or roughed up by unsympathetic reviewers and editors.

An end run around the media blackout was achieved by Oliver Stone's movie JFK, a film that directly reached millions of viewers with an accurate account of the specifics of the assassination. The movie could not simply be ignored because it was reaching a mass audience. So the press savaged it. As far as I know, JFK is the only movie in film history that was attacked, six months before it was released, in just about every major broadcast and print outlet. The Washington Post, for instance, gave George Lardner Jr. the whole front page of its Sunday "Outlook" section (5/19/91) to slam Stone for "chasing fiction." Lardner was an interesting choice to review this particular movie, being the Post reporter who covered the CIA and who never wrote a critical word about that agency.

The media's ideological gatekeepers threw restraint to the wind when dealing with Stone's film. Conservative news columnist George Will, not known for writing movie reviews, penned a rant against JFK, calling it "a cartoon history" and "a three hour lie." Will describes Stone as "an intellectual sociopath, combining moral arrogance with historical ignorance . . . a specimen of the sixties' arrested development. . . . Intellectually, Stone is on all fours . . . part of a long fringe tradition . . . banally venal, reckless, cruel" (Washington Post, 12/27/91). By relying on invective, Will avoided the more difficult task of rebutting the points made in Stone's film.

Shoulder to shoulder with conservartives like Will stood liberal centrists like Daniel Schorr, the NPR radio commentator who attacked Stone three times on the air, always in sarcastic and general terms, without ever coming to grips with the information proffered by the movie.

Then there was Tom Wicker, a syndicated columnist who also had never done a movie review, but when JFK came out, he wrote one that covered a whole page, completewith photos (New York Times, 12/15/91). In it, Wicker said something revealing:

If the wild assertions in Oliver Stone's movie are taken at face value, Americans will have to accept the idea that most of the nation's major institutions conspired together and carried out Kennedy's murder. In an era when mistrust of government and loss of confidence in institutions--the press not the least--are widespread and virulent, such a suggestion seems a dubious public service.
In so many words Wicker was disclosing the basic reason why such a merciless attack had been launched against Stone's movie. A full exposure of the assassination conspiracy would invite serious discredit upon the legitimacy of the dominant institutions of state and class. Playing before mass audiences, JFK did not accuse a cabal of malevolent perpetrators, but pointed to the national security state itself, inviting millions of viewers to question the kind of state system under which they lived.

*Ignored Evidence, Unanswered Questions

David Garrow, author of a biography of Martin Luther King, condescendingly says: "A large majority of the American people do believe in assassination conspiracies. That allows events to have large mysterious causes instead of small idiosyncratic ones." Contrary to Garrow, the question of whether a conspiracy exists in any particular situation has to be decided by an investigation of evidence, not by patronizing presumptions about the public mind. Investigators who concluded there were conspiracies in the Kennedy and King murders did not fashion "large mysterious causes" but came to their conclusions through painstaking probes of troubling discrepancies, obvious lies, and blatant coverups. They have been impelled not by the need to fashion elaborate theories but by the search for particular explanations about some simple and compelling truths.

Many people talk about finding the "smoking gun" behind this or that mystery, the one evidentiary item that dramatically resolves the case and puts to rest all further questions. Unlike fictional mysteries, in real life there usually is no smoking gun. Historians work by a process of accretion, putting piece by piece together until a picture emerges. In the Kennedy murder the pieces make an imposing picture indeed, leaving one with the feeling that while there may not be a smoking gun there is a whole fusillade of impossibilities regarding the flight of bullets, the nature of the wounds, the ignored testimony of eye witnesses, the sudden and mysterious deaths of witnesses, the disappearance and deliberate destruction of evidence, and the repeated acts of official coverup that continue to this day regarding the release of documents.

Let us focus on just a small part of the immense brief that has been assembled by investigators. Consider the background of Lee Harvey Oswald. During the week of the thirtieth anniversary of the JFK assassination, one repeatedly heard on television that Oswald was an incompetent "loner" and not very bright. Gerald Posner, transforming himself into an instant psychiatric expert, announced that Oswald "had a very disturbed childhood, and he was a passive-aggressive." A passive-aggressive assassin? He was also repeatedly labeled a "loner" and a "leftist." The truth is something else.

Lee Harvey Oswald spent most of his adult life not as a lone drifter but directly linked to the U.S. intelligence community. All of his IQ tests show that he was above average in intelligence and a quick learner. At the age of eighteen in the U.S. Marines he had secret security clearance and was working at Marine Air Control in Atsugi Air Force Base in Japan, a top secret location from which the CIA launched U2 flights and performed other kinds of covert operations in China. The next year he was assigned to El Toro Air Station in California with security clearance to work radar.

Strange things began to happen. While at El Toro, Oswald emerged as a babbling Russophile and a "communist." He started playing Russian language records at blast level in his barracks and addressing his fellow Marines in Russian, calling them "comrade." He read Russian books and hailed Soviet Communism as "the best system in the world." If Oswald was a Soviet or a Cuban spy, as some people now claim, he certainly had a novel way of building a cover. Philip Melanson, author of Spy Saga, a book about Oswald's links to intelligence, reminds us that the U.S. Marine Corps in 1958 was not exactly a bastion of liberal tolerance and freethinking. But in this instance, for some strange reason, Oswald's Marine commanders did not seem to mind having a ranting commie sympathizer in their midst. He kept his security clearance and retained access to a wealth of sensitive radar information and classified data from secret facilities.

Other odd things happened. In February 1959, he failed the Marine Corps proficiency test in Russian. Six months later he had developed some fluency in that language. In 1974, a document classified by the Warren Commission--and dislodged mostly by Harold Weisberg's legal efforts--revealed that Oswald had attended the U.S. Army's School of Languages at Monterey. Monterey is not open to anyone who just happens to have a language hobby. One is sent by the government, for training in a specific language pertaining to a specific assignment. Oswald learned Russian at Monterey.

Conspiracy Theorist Alert: Sixth Floor Opens Research Room

By HOLLY LAFON

Dallas County commissioners voted Tuesday morning to approve a request from the Sixth Floor Museum to create a reading a media room. Researchers into the arguably mysterious events surrounding the assassination of the former president can now pore over the museum’s 35,000 accumulated audio, video and text artifacts.

The room will be on the first floor of the county administration building where the museum occupies the sixth. The museum has hired a firm to renovate unused offices to make room for it, and it should be opened in November of 2009.

Lest the resource become a hang-out for the JFK conspiracy theory obsessed, use will be restricted to appointment only, from 12-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

"As we approach the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's assassination, the museum has renewed its responsibility to make its considerable resources available to students, educators and researchers," says Nicola Longford, the museum's executive director. "The Reading Room presents an excellent opportunity to showcase and expand our collections."

Maybe someone will discover what “really” happened.

NY Times: Is the CIA still hiding JFK assassination secrets ?

Duh !

**
The Raw Story.

By Muriel Kane
Friday, October 16th, 2009

The CIA is fighting to prevent the release of hundreds of documents involving its funding of an anti-Castro group in New Orleans that engaged in well-publicized clashes with Lee Harvey Oswald in the summer of 1963.

The New York Times reported on Friday that the files "involve the curious career of George E. Joannides, the case officer who oversaw the dissident Cubans in 1963. In 1978, the agency made Mr. Joannides the liaison to the House Select Committee on Assassinations -- but never told the committee of his earlier role."

Joannides was the deputy director for psychological warfare at the CIA's Miami station, JM/WAVE, which was the center of anti-Castro activities in the early 60's and served as a spawning ground for figures who would later be involved in covert operations in Vietnam and in Iran-Contra. In 1963, Joannides worked closely with leaders of the the Directorio Revolucionario Estudantil and exercised a significant degree of control over the group's leaders.

Former Washington Post reporter Jefferson Morley has been engaged since 2001 in a battle to learn move about the dual role placed by Joannides, which has raised suspicions that he was part of a coverup. "I know there's a story here," Morley told the Times. "The confirmation is that the C.I.A. treats these documents as extremely sensitive."

In December 2007, a Court of Appeals panel ordered the CIA to reveal its files on Joannides, and some documents were released last year confirming Joannides' role in New Orleans. However, the CIA is still withholding or even refusing to confirm the existence of hundreds more.

C.I.A. Is Still Cagey About Oswald Mystery

By SCOTT SHANE
Published: October 16, 2009

WASHINGTON — Is the Central Intelligence Agency covering up some dark secret about the assassination of John F. Kennedy?

Probably not. But you would not know it from the C.I.A.’s behavior.

For six years, the agency has fought in federal court to keep secret hundreds of documents from 1963, when an anti-Castro Cuban group it paid clashed publicly with the soon-to-be assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. The C.I.A. says it is only protecting legitimate secrets. But because of the agency’s history of stonewalling assassination inquiries, even researchers with no use for conspiracy thinking question its stance.

The files in question, some released under direction of the court and hundreds more that are still secret, involve the curious career of George E. Joannides, the case officer who oversaw the dissident Cubans in 1963. In 1978, the agency made Mr. Joannides the liaison to the House Select Committee on Assassinations — but never told the committee of his earlier role.

That concealment has fueled suspicion that Mr. Joannides’s real assignment was to limit what the House committee could learn about C.I.A. activities. The agency’s deception was first reported in 2001 by Jefferson Morley, who has doggedly pursued the files ever since, represented by James H. Lesar, a Washington lawyer specializing in Freedom of Information Act lawsuits.

“The C.I.A.’s conduct is maddening,” said Mr. Morley, 51, a former Washington Post reporter and the author of a 2008 biography of a former C.I.A. station chief in Mexico.

After years of meticulous reporting on Mr. Joannides, who died at age 68 in 1990, he is convinced that there is more to learn.

“I know there’s a story here,” Mr. Morley said. “The confirmation is that the C.I.A. treats these documents as extremely sensitive.”

JFK Special VII-Coast to Coast AM

November 22, 2009

In anticipation of tonight's JFK Special, we polled our guests, Jim Marrs, John Barbour, and Kenn Thomas, for their recommended reading list of books related to the JFK assassination. The result was a veritable cornucopia of conspiracy tomes covering not only the assassination itself, but also Lee Harvey Oswald's life as a spy, the story of a man who may have been set up to be the 2nd patsy on November 22nd, 1963, and some recent examinations of America's most infamous parapolitical mystery.

Letters to Jackie, But What About Jack? How to Avoid..

Letters to Jackie, But What About Jack? How to Avoid the

Heart of the JFK Assassination

By Russ Baker on March 25, 2010 - whowhatwhy.com

When it comes to the biggest and most troubling stories of our time, corporate-owned and conventional public news outlets have a tendency to do an end run around the controversy and go straight to the most emotionally satisfying but least consequential aspects.

Take the assassination of the 35th president. Recently, the media were full of accounts on a book about condolence letters to Jackie K.

*It’s all very poignant, but what about the assassination itself? How much effort does The Times make to keep its readers posted on developments in research about how and why the President died? Well, almost none. The paper of record almost uniformly avoids covering what has been for many years a steady stream of investigative breakthroughs on the issue. And while it did find space for “Letters to Jackie,” it did not even mention, much less review, James Douglass’s JFK and the Unspeakable, Jefferson Morley’s Our Man in Mexico, or Family of Secrets (by yours truly), nor dozens of other carefully-documented and footnoted books by skilled diggers that suggest the Warren Commission’s version of events is, well, totally wrong on virtually every count. (In the case of Morley, he was actually mentioned in a Times article, which began with the remarkable clause, “Is the Central Intelligence Agency covering up some dark secret about the assassination of John F. Kennedy? Probably not.” The article actually managed to refer to Morley as an author researching Kennedy’s death without ever citing the title or substance of Morley’s book. David Talbot’s Brothers was reviewed, but put up against a book by a prosecutor contending that Oswald acted alone.)

The "Dr. Mary's Monkey" story

The murder of a cancer researcher in New Orleans and the links to the JFK assassination.

Author Edward Haslam has written two books updating the info that comes his way and connecting the dots:

http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/JFKhaslamE.htm

The questions that come up for me after hearing this story related on a radio broadcast; if the story is correct:

o Did Jack and Bobby Kennedy know that research/university and corporate entities botched the polio vaccine and introduced cancer viruses to 198 million people (increasing by 300 percent the incidence of soft tissue cancer in Americans)? If so, had they considered at all going public with the information?

o Did they know that research/university, corporate and CIA entities then decided to weaponize cancer viruses? Were they considering doing anything about it or stopping such a germ warfare project?

Thanks Nora.. :)

Skin grafts are frequently

Skin grafts are frequently used over large and/or difficult-to-heal wounds such as burns, pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and pass4sure 000-331 traumatic wounds. They can be created and applied in various ways. The split-thickness skin graft (STSG), which involves removing the epidermis and part of the dermis from the donor site and pass4sure 000-973 applying it to a well vascularized wound bed, is the most common. When the patient does not have donor tissue available, various biological and synthetic options are available. The coverage provided by the STSG is superficial while pass4sure JN0-141 the tissue grows in to complete the graft process. In order for the skin graft to survive, the grafted area must be well vascularized and have a low bacterial burden because infection can cause graft failure. Mesh often is used to pass4sure JN0-532 cover the graft and hold the graft in the correct position using sutures, staples, or glue. The area then may be immobilized with a firm dressing.
