Sir Real - Freedom of Speech?

Is it me, or does there seem to be something wrong with selling flags like these a few blocks from my house, at the neighborhood intersection?

(22nd & Kolb; Tucson, AZ)

I drove by for a second time, and had my kid take a couple pictures with my cell phone.

What do these flags actually mean?

I know the Confederate flag is a racist symbol.

But, what the hell does a flag containing Obama's image with the word, HOPE attached (sewn) to the end of a Confederate flag mean?

The guy selling them looked like some kind of mean looking, drunken rancher, wearing a cowboy hat.

I don't get it.

I'm not sure how Tucson is like Miami, except for maybe ignorant, rural elements ... and a big ass military base.
It's the most liberal town in Arizona.

I know it shocked other people driving by, too.

The guy selling them looked like Porky, from the movie, Porky's.

I couldn't even find this flag when I looked for it on Google images.

I'm wondering if the flag is offensive, in general, or just because I'm what some people call liberal/progressive.

The flag dealer looked like he was located about a block away from a street where he'd be getting his ass beat by a group of black and Latino young people, if not for the part where he looked like he probably had an arsenal hidden inside his pick-up and/or trailer.

Talk to a right wing tool and he will tell you it's no more than another call for an unthinkable crime. They want him gone.

Redneck Shop Flies Obama-Confederate Flag

LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. -- A shop in Laurens County that is used to causing controversy is at it again.

This time the controversy surrounds a flag with President-elect Barack Obama's image on one side and the Confederate flag on the other.

The Rev. David Kennedy said, "It's another attempt by the KKK to try to insult the black community. They're very disturbed about a black man being president of the United States of America."......

Thank you, Kevin, for the article. So, my instinct about the flag being intentionally offensive and racist was right.

I can understand why these people are against the notion of evolution. It would require they evolve at some point.
