Let's Get Together

OK here's my thoughts, guys...
Right now America is in a spot we've never seen. For all your gloom and doom talk on this blog, I'm actually now beginning to *see* gloom and doom. I'm surrounded by Republicans and would like to get to know normal people better.
So, here is my proposal.
I know alot of people blog here and on Sam's other blogsites. Let's consider the possibility of a meet and greet party. We could do it one of 2 ways: either,
1. One location; or
2. 4 locations (Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific) - with someone arranging for video conferencing at each site so that we can all say hi to each other.
The true goal, I think, is for those of us who are in close proximity to each other to get to know each other better.
We could do a map so people could put 'pushpins' in their location, to determine where the party would be in each time-zone. I'm getting the feeling that the 'Eastern' party would be in NY, the 'Central' meet would be closer to Texas, the Mountain meet would be in Arizona, and the Pacific meet would be in northern California.
I'll bring barbecue. :-)

Would that include the chat or IMs during the internet show?
