The Speech

I liked it. So we know Obama has a compassionate side. He does a Bobby Kennedy well. What is not know is how tough he is ala JFK . Several notes of the speech were downright Kennedyesque. I wish the Clintons, Howard Dean, Richardson had also spilled on the stage at the ending celebration. And I did miss the lack of balloons. However, the stage looked great at night, very beautifully designed. Kudos to the designer and architect. Double that for trashing the time beeper, keep it that way next time too. Obama was tough and has to get tougher, he has to get specific on foreign policy issues so the points made created a good framework. Surge is a military term measured within a limited time frame of hours, maybe days, but is no measure of how a war is conducted. I think, seriously, Obama needs to eat, he should gain at least ten pounds, it would literally give him a weighty appearance. Appearances were also important in the 1960 and 1988 elections. He already looks great, especially when he looks into the crowd from side to side. He could hire a trainer, yes he's fit, of course, but so slim that at times he appears boyish. Okay, enough on that. Now a snack.
