We might actually GROW something this year as the forest creatures ate EVERYTHING last year! We're examining everything to keep 'em out (marigolds, dog pee, bitter lemon, etc.) I finally talked them out of the Electric Fence and use chickenwire instead! Phew! We'll be taking long breaks to watch 1100 miles of racing, too, in between hot dogs, baked beans and cole slaw. Enjoy!

Memorial Day is an occasion to have a party with friends and family, grill some dogs and burgers and eat at somebody else's house! But it is also when this nation pauses to remember all who serve and have served in the Armed Forces (that would leave out about 90% of the current crop of GOPhers in office). So make sure you take in your town's Memorial Day Parade and ceremony on Monday.
