I don't know, it seems kinda strained. Obviously it was the first one, so that's understandable, but the show felt so rushed and forced. I guess that's how it's gonna have to be though, now that he's down to 3 hours a week instead of 15. sigh. Still, great to have a decent radio program.

It's just beyond me that 1600 WWLIB isn't airing Seder on Sundaysl. Instead they air a 3 hour infomercial about medicines. What's going on? Someone please explain!!!!!!

Just for clarification. These are not podcasts. Podcasts are an mp3(or anything for that matter) at the end of an rss feed, which makes them download automatically after you add the link to a podcast catcher (I like Itunes).
You don't have an rss feed posted up so they are just mp3 files. I think some people are confused because the word is being misused.

As for me, I have started listening to Stephenie Miller on THE MIC in Madison (can be streamed). It beats Lionel 8 days a week.

Lionel makes me absolutely furious, I can't listen to him and I'm a so called Northeast liberal from Boston. He's pompous, arrogant and unfunny. He's rude and talks down to most of his callers and quite frankly has noting really new to say. Sam Sedar was always so prepared and knowledgeable - I learned something everyday. I only stick with Air America for Thom Hartman and Randi and occasionally Rachel. It's really is a shame, hell I would even take Springer in lieu. Miss you Sam M-F.

Like "Not a Chance" above, I would have been facing a Sederless week had you not posted the podcast link. I'm furious with AAR and the Greens' latest programming decisions, especially the choice to replace Sam with Lionel. The day Sam went off the weekday airwaves, I joined the NovaM Founders Club in protest and to thank them for the commitment to real progressive programming, like Mike Malloy.
AAR's not getting one penny from me. And other than Seder on Sundays, I refuse to listen to the network that I once had on from the time I woke up until the time I went to sleep.

ie, take Sam Seder off the air, but if you want to subscribe to AAR, then you can get 3 hours of Seder (instead of 15 hours).
I'm being penalized for living in NYC, the home base of Air America... I can't hear Sam Seder or "The Air Americans" or the Young Turks on the radio.
But I do get plenty of infomercials on the flagship station.

I was really missing my "Sammy Time" and because air america has done a wonderful job of all but burying him I was unable to get his show. This link worked!!!
I was never more shocked, confused and upset than when air america pulled the Sam Seder show!!! I'm conflicted because I really think that air america is sooo important to democracy but they made a HUGE mistake with this one... I've already reduced my listening time significantly...If they pull Randi, I'm outta here!

I also used to listen to AAR all day. When Sam's show was cancelled I cancelled my AAR Premium service and wrote them an email telling them why. That same day, I joined NovaM's Founders Club, and then wrote Sheldon Drobny and told him I'd join a _second_ time if he hired Sam (and he replied to my email!)
That might sound extreme, but I wanted to support them for hiring Malloy, it was Sam's last day, and I was irate at the time.

Everyone that's Air america's tried instead of Sam Seder is worse.. that's a negative way of saying .. Sam has no equal.. He's the best and most energetic radio listening in a long time.. he's quick, youthful and a bloomin' liberal..and that's coming from a 57 yr. old woman.. Keep up the good work, Sam. this once a week business is just a temporary step in your long career..

Thanks a bunch for the podcasts! It is difficult to listen live from Europe on your new time slot. Listening to your first show I realized how much I missed my daily dose of Seder.
Ever consider doing a daily mini podcast outside of Air America? If they wont put you on the radio the screw them...just go directly to through the internet.
Speaking of which...no offense to Lionel or the other new hosts but it isn't even close. You are so much better.

John Edwards
No longer enough to be the son of a mill worker, I have noticed that of late Edwards has been saying that he came "from absolutely nothing". I wonder how his parents feel when they hear him say that; it must hurt.
I only mention this because I believe it to be hyperbole and not really the case. I am sure that times were hard and that Edwards worked for everything he has; however, by using this language he is denying the fact that his parents, leading by example, instilled decent values in him. The elder Mr. and Mrs. Edwards obviously, taught their son to have the confidence to carry him on his journey to achieve his dreams. That does not sound like absolutely nothing to me.

What is it about "we want Sam Seder back on weekdays" isn't clear to you AAR management people? This is yet another example of how the liberals always manage to shoot themselves in the foot when they have an opportunity for greatness. I love listening to Sam Seder, but there is no way I will pay a single penny to AAR for the "privilege" of poscasting Sam's once-a-week show. Give me Sammy back 5 days a week, and you'll have me as a paying member.

Seder-ific!
I'm a fan of Sam, we all know that. it's a real shame that he no longer has a daily show. i say this because his show is soooo crammed for time that he's unable to do as much funny frivolous banter with his studio team and the audience. less opportunity for conservative callers. less highlighting other pundits and their absurdity.
the sunday talk show pundit roundup is more head slapping than laugh out loud funny you would get from other targets. more room to breathe would definitely allow for more of the 'funny' to come back. still enjoy the show though

There is a HUGE outrage among Air America listeners re: AA GREEN Programming. I am, of course, most alarmed with what they have done to Sam's show. I have written many emails and signed the online petition to bring him back:

The network's daily morning show should be a "news" show
Not a "melange" of personality pieces, cultural observations, witty reparteé etc. That would be fine for an overnight show, but first thing in the morning I want political news, and commentary on that news.
That's what Sam Seder is GREAT at, and Lionel not-so-great.

Air America must be wholly funded by the DLC. Tepid crap like Randi Rhodes is supposed to be ballsy? She dances up to the line, but won't cross it, like Malloy does or Seder or Cenk do. And the rest of Air America's lineup is warmed-over stale crap.
I get the feeling that Rahm and Lieberman are puppeteering Hartmann, Rhodes, Maddow and the rest. They just refuse to be FDR Democrats. Yeah, you too, Thom.

I did the same thing about a week or so after it was clear that they went through with it and delegated him to Sundays, ignoring their own outraged fans, and their pleading premium members. First I threatened, and after the waiting period, when his show was ineed on only on once a week, I sent another email, cancelling my premium membership, and telling them why on no uncertain terms. Another air america affiliate in San Diego,(WKLSD-am1360), has a morning show from 6-9. This excellent host has been Stacy Taylor, who I first heard filling in for Randi. I've been podcasting his shows ever since, and now THAT station is not only letting him go...it's changing it's whole theme! It will no longer be a "progressive" station. Management suddenly thinks that all this truth is too "boring", "discouraging", etc. (This was said off the record, to a fan who happened to be on a plane with this management guy. That fan then called in to the show and told him what the man said, etc. HA!) That station is owned by clearchannel.
Anyway, I cancelled my premium membership to air america. I'm glad Sam's podcasts are available whether or not you pay them. I will not renew my premium membership until his show is restored, and air america's management office knows that, from my email, when I cancelled. I think probably many thousands said and did the same thing. Just infuriating. To have a radio station, and to get rid of your best, most popular hosts...I told them it was bad business, bad for their advertising, and made no sense whatsoever. And I also asked them: What kind of radio station ignores all their PAYING customers!!? I can't stand the appearance of Lionel's face. I caught a few words, by accident actually, and was shocked at HOW bad it actually was. I really didn't like the sound of his voice, or his tone, or even anything at all that he was saying.
Truly bizzare. Well, I'm glad I can still hear Sam at all!
