I've been trying to get folks here not to Embed Videos so much .......

But,to say the least it hasn't been easy..
Sir YouTube is an addictive master..Embedding wise..

Damn,I remember what it was like trying to blog here with my old Crappy Wireless ! It sucked bigtime !
Blogging with Dial Up here ?
I shudder to think !

I know of 4 peeps who use Dial Up here and they all
have been here longer than me.
And,they are like family to me..
Trust me if I had the money I'd try and get them all broadband..But,I don't..
And,for some just access to broadband is the problem..

So,the next time you say to yourself,damn what's up with that Embedded Video hall monitor MMRules ?

Remember,there are very good bloggers out there that you won't read because you just Had to embed that "Froggy Went A Courting"video and about 5 just like it.. :)

I still think you're a sweetie for removing all those embeds from your Open Mic, and you didn't even tell me what a rotten, pushy, bossy thing I was for suggesting it. I appreciate your hospitality!

Soome folks are cool about it,others just start doing it again after they have stoped for a day..

O'well all you can do is try..

Get "No script" (addon)
Don't allow Youtube scripts

Bob's your uncle

you go to Youtube you click on the temporarily allow scripts.
you see videos. You go to blogs that have embeds and they don't load. add to that you get better protection against malware.

Your slow ass connection doesn't get bogged down with youtube videos and the rest of us with regular speed connections can enjoy the internet without you complaining.

That's good advice about FireFox. Thanks. Opera browser also allows you to set preferences for sites. Your snark falls short. Whether the YouTube video is embedded or available from a hotlink, either way it only takes one click to view. I don't think asking folks to use a hotlink rather than an embed, or asking folks to be more considerate is complaining. Whining about other folks with slow ass connections when you aren't being inconvenienced seems silly.
