I rarely have a problem but when sam was loading the cam, I had to shut down because everything froze on me. Now I can't get the cam and it took for ever to reload the blog.

I just learned from a friend that Randi had her feelings hurt by Sam. She thought Sam said she was not funny on her stand up and that he agreed with Air America suspending her. We all know that he said they had the right to suspend her, but did not agree with their decision and that her stand up was not bad for someone who has not done much stand up. I sent an IM, but also do not know if he saw it. If someone can get word to him, I think it is important he give her a call.

don't worry about the im....it is all grist for the mill....they read them and take them in and it is all a very organic process...we are a bunch of groupies who love these guys because I remember when AAR first came on, it was like therapy for me. I will be forever grateful for that and now things are changing and I am locked in to what Sam said at the very end...that "the future is looking very bright for me"....I dont think he was referring to applewood chips....

I felt like that the day huffington post said Belzer was going to sub for Sam. I posted a question about it here and when everyone was wondering why Sam was so angry a post said 'some asshole im'd Sam about the Huffington Post' I didn't im him but I felt guilty anyway. I think camcasts have a lot of potential for redefining the screen and taking a second look at vaudevillian hamming and the immediacy of double takes and eye contact with the audience! Maybe not constantly, but it doesn't have to be just a person in a chair or a talking head constantly either!

Just curious of those that did see sam did you notice what his buffer numbers were underneath his cam? For me maron was a solid 100% - all the away over in Oz while sammys connection was bouncing all over the place in the 20s / 30s / 40s etc.

I'm thinking sam's connection was a bit wonky - we did get the recordings though for those of you who missed sam.

The number is NOT cumulative.It resets every time cam is turned on.Last weeks stats were 58000 so unless -6000 people were on today i think that answers the question.

The League of Women Voters was largely conservative, usually local landed gentry types, mostly Republican in my town. They usually backed the local big developments instead of environmental concerns when I met them. They are NOT so many female Solomons for wisdom in my experience.

WHAT WE NEED is a NEW kind of voter league that is more balanced or something, a league that won't sell the common folks and the Commons to the highest bidder for the husbands' bottom lines....

Remember that number and see how much the cam # increases over that 52,000 mark the next time they do a sammycam show. I am thinking that would be the way to judge how many are on the cam.

Marc is just cranky...I'm sure that he didn't mean to pick on you. Its just been a very hard week for everyone associated with AAR and he is very jetlagged...and cranky. He snaps at people sometimes. So, dont feel bad. They both appreciate their fans, but I think that Sam is better at showing it.
Sam isn't ignoring your IMs...he looks at them all...he just gets tons and has to choose which ones to address. In his own sammycam he does say goodbye to everyone who IMed, but I think he was saying the other day at the height of the Randi fill in thing that he had something like 200 IMs...usually these guys have producers for calls and stuff, but the IM thing is new technology that Sam has embraced, and I don't really know how he does it all...he is very good at juggling lots of things at once and is into tech. maron gets transfixed by them...though he is doing better. They seem to frustrate him.
Sam didn't even do IMs towards the end of this show...and probably because Maron was so tired he couldnt think straight.
We'll see how everyone feels on Tuesday.

Sam actually does a great job of responding. I just meant that he may also know best, which ones to respond to, or not. He has read many of my comments. I am actually amazed at the way he is able to do such a good job of making us all feel included. I am SpeyF in AIM world.

Oh, these Lonnng Primary Seasons are so profitable. You can sell more books when you're a candidate for a lonnng time, etctera.

We are being ripped off with this long Primary Season. There's no reason we can't hold an election from January to Election Day in the same year, and with ALL funding being public. These guys just keep raking in OUR donations and big donor dollars and what does it get us, the People? The Corporations get all the profits from the ads and commercial time and corporate-sponsored debates! That's where our money went! To the corporations AGAIN! It's a sham, this time more than ever.

Hillary is in a win-win situation in this primary; she stays in and keeps collecting the contributions for her campaign coffers. It doesn't matter if she RIPS APART the Democrats some more. She still walks away at the end with Big Bucks. It is DISGUSTING and WRONG!

Sammy kept saying how well the VOD would be. Don't get me wrong I love the SammyCam but you must know that this was very difficult to watch/listen too.

Sammy kept talking over Marc and the continuity was affective.

(GARDINER, MT) - Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer and Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Suzanne Lewis are expected to make an "historic announcement" today regarding the Interagency Bison Management Plan, which this year alone has been responsible for the deaths of over 1,600 wild American bison, the last continuously wild population in the United States.

"The only historic announcement that Schweitzer and Lewis could possibly make is that they've killed more wild American buffalo than anyone since the 1800s," said Buffalo Field Campaign co-founder Mike Mease.

The decision-makers are expected to reveal information regarding an agreement that has been reached between the Church Universal & Triumphant (CUT), the state of Montana, the USDA Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service, the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, and National Parks Conservation Association surrounding issues concerning wild American bison (or buffalo) and cattle owned by the CUT.

According to information made public in recent months, CUT will be given more than $2.5 million in private and taxpayer money, in exchange for removing their cattle for 30 years and allowing twenty-five bison to temporary access to some Gallatin National Forest and CUT lands. These twenty-five bison will first have to be trapped, tested for brucellosis exposure, tagged, and the females fitted with vaginal telemetry devices.

Today's announcement comes in the midst of the largest wild buffalo slaughter since the 1800s. So far this season, over 1,600 bison have been killed through state and federal actions. Nearly 1,300 of the bison killed were trapped and sent to slaughter for migrating towards CUT land from Yellowstone National Park's northern boundary near Gardiner, Montana.

"This deal will not stop the slaughter," said BFC habitat coordinator Darrell Geist. "CUT already received $13 million tax dollars in 1998, and yet more than 3,000 bison have since died for merely attempting to access this portion of their habitat. Why should we give them millions more to do what they should have done years ago?"

Announcement of the land deal coincides with the recent release of a Government Accountability Office report that strongly criticized the Interagency Bison Management Plan participants for failing to move forward in allowing wild bison room to roam in Montana.
More than 1,600 wild American bison have been eliminated from the remaining wild population this winter under actions carried out under the Interagency Bison Management Plan (IBMP), as well as state and treaty hunts. Buffalo Field Campaign strongly opposes the Interagency Bison Management Plan and maintains that wild bison should be allowed to naturally and fully recover themselves throughout their historic native range, especially on public lands. Bison are a migratory species native to vast expanses of North America and are ecologically extinct everywhere in the United States outside of Yellowstone National Park.
