well....this doesnt look all that good:
Air America Radio (airamerica.com) is pleased to present the debut this week of “American Afternoon” with guest host actor and activist RICHARD BELZER (Det. John Munch on Law & Order: SVU ).
“American Afternoon” will be featuring a series of well-known celebrity hosts with progressive perspectives. Confirmed guest hosts in the coming three weeks include: talk show host RON REAGAN, award-winning TV personality ROSEANNE BARR with Johnny Argent, and JOY BEHAR from “The View” on ABC-TV.
This week with RICHARD BELZER in the seat, you’ll have heard from special guests JON STEWART, BILL MAHER, SARAH SILVERMAN, Ambassador RICHARD BUTLER, “The Soprano’s” creator DAVID CHASE, LEWIS BLACK, National Lampoon’s TONY HENDRA and more.
This is obviously a great line-up of progressive, entertaining talent who are each renown for their humor and style. We’ll have fun and hope our listeners will too -- as we get ready to announce the permanent afternoon host for this new show to all Air Americans.
For surprising commentary and insightful dialogue each week, turn on “American Afternoon”.

TPM
is live blogging tonight.
I haven't checked but firedoglake may also.
Roseanne HATES Obama
She sees Hillary thru rose-colored glasses!
Joy endorsed Hillary early. I don't know if she still does.
And Ron Reagan is very moderate from what I have heard from him.
Maybe Ron will be the host for 3-6.
Not surprising. It would follow. Mark Green is shaping the schedule in his image.
The pictures plastered across the top of the AA
home page say it all! With the exception of Rachel (although last night she described herself as an "old man.")
Boy that weekday lineup really inspires me to tune in! :(

75yr old Rep. John Murtha Says McCain Too Old To Be President
Murtha says McCain too old to be president
Apr 16, 5:08 PM (ET),By NEDRA PICKLER
WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic Rep. John Murtha said Wednesday that Republican Sen. John McCain is too old to be president. Murtha is 75, four years older than McCain. He says they are nearly the same age, and the rigors and stress of running the country is too much for guys their age.
"I've served with seven presidents," Murtha told a union audience. "When they come in, they all make mistakes. They all get older."
"This one guy running is about as old as me," he said, drawing laughter and applause. "Let me tell you something, it's no old man's job."
If elected, McCain would be the oldest man to become president at age 72. Ronald Reagan became president at age 69, but he served as president for eight years and was just a few weeks shy of his 78th birthday when he left office...

nitro tires...
Yeah, CostCo does that. I bought a new set recently and thought it was cool...until I had the car in at my dealer for routine maint (really good employee owned Honda dealer here in Columbus) and they couldn't do my tires cuz of the nitro.
That's the only down side. I kinda like it cuz I can pull in a rest stop, pop the valve stem and get a big ol' huff of nitro and then cruise on down the road.

Their Mothers Wear Army Boots
I hope that this debate doesn't degenerate into personal attacks instead of staying focused on issues, though I can't imagine that sniping won't happen owing to all of the mud that has been slung recently.
Both candidates need to show that they are more than petty politicians.
This debate is brutal
Hard stuff. They had to wrench the admission from Hillary that he can be President.
stepanolpolous
is being a fucking jerk
I cannot stand this debate
now they are asking him about his lapel flag..
Okay...
Hillary's line that the Repubs should just apologize for the Bush admin. and not run anybody this year was pretty damn funny.
I still won't vote for the bee-yotch.
GBC
I missed that. But I am sure it will be all over the internet later and tomorrow and on all the news.
By the way, at 9PM Kieth O will have a special run down on the debate.
Everyone is at the new thread now.

Ya, going to catch that hopefully. My extremely non-political roommate will be home by then and only one teevee is hooked to the cable at this place right now...
can't wait to get moved next month!
kay...
west coast feed is finally on here ... gonna go watch it and see what I missed (prob not much since it sounds like they are FINALLY getting to the real issues... only an hour into the debate, but FINALLY!)

Monotony
by another monotonous, identical day. The same
things will happen, they will happen again --
the same moments find us and leave us.
A month passes and ushers in another month.
One easily guesses the coming events;
they are the boring ones of yesterday.
And the morrow ends up not resembling a morrow anymore.

N2 v Air for Tire Inflation
(Hope I'm not beating a dead horse here but....) Have owned a few GA aircraft in my time. My current flying machine is a Cirrus SR-22 (the one with the parachute that shoots out the back in case of trouble). I have never used anything other than good old compressed air to fill the tires. But then GA tires all have split wheels (to get tire on/off w/o distorting the rubber). So, unlike a car, there's always a tube involved. I should also add that most pilots are damm careful with their tires. A bad tire can really **** up an otherwise nice landing, and can easily cause $100K or more in damage (especially if there's a prop strike). So I would guess that if there was a real advantage, we would be using N2 in those tubes.
As far as burning, If there's enough heat, the tire will burn, even if filled with N2, and the oxidizer will be the oxygen in the ambient air. Also remember that oxygen is not a combustible gas (but in high concentrations, it does excellerate combustion).
