IMing SAM

AOL AIM and Yahoo Messenger provide free IM cliets that will allow you to IM Sam during the show.
Mobile Clients can also IM Sam using products like IM all-in-one.
Once you install it, you need to link up to Sam. I know AIM provides a simple way to do this by clicking on "Send Buddy Request". THIS link goes to Sam's AOL Profile page. You can also send a Buddy Request from there.
Sam's user ID is SamSederShow and if you lookup by email it will be SamSederShow "at" symbol gmail.com
Please drop comments about how you connect to Sam's IM so others can consider the option.
UPDATE: Now that you have an AOL name, you need to open your AOL messenger which comes with AOL or if you have AIM which is the messenger system by itself.
Once you open that, Click on EDIT and then ADD BUDDY, then add SAMSEDERSHOW as a buddy.
THen, click on SAMSEDERSHOW which will be listed on your buddy list in the messenger window.
Then click with your right mouse button on that same SAMSEDERSHOW listed in your buddy list which will give you a pop up window - in the pop up window there is an option for IM. Click on the IM option and an IM window will pop up.
In the IM window, on the bottom is the area for you to type in a message to Sam. Type in your message and click on SEND or just hit the ENTER button.
Sam will answer you verbally - he does not have the ability or time to write back, nor does he add most people to his buddy list because it would be HUGE. - h/t Nefferkitti

In answer to your questions about why I didn't support former Senator John Edwards on the second ballot in Iowa: I have serious concerns about his connections to a Wall Street hedge fund, Fortress Investment Group. While attacking others for accepting campaign money from Washington lobbyists, he is up to his ears in money from Wall Street special interests.
He made half a million dollars in a single year for attending a few meetings for Fortress and has invested a substantial part of his own personal wealth in the hedge fund whose portfolios are responsible for sub-prime predatory lending practices, Medicare privatization, and an entire range of corporate sharp dealings that are driving the middle class into poverty.
While I indicated Senator Obama as a preferred second choice in Iowa, Progressives have fundamental disagreements with him and all of the other Presidential candidates on most of their major positions on the issues.
We must have the courage of our convictions to fully support and vote for what it is we really want. For once, we must realize our power, stop playing tactical games, and vote as a bloc - which, as you know, is what the religious right does and why they often win.
We Progressives are in the majority in this election. We will win only when we refuse to compromise and vote with integrity.

I think I had success with samseder rather than samsedershow which was rejected as invalid....
my experience
after trying to set up an aim act. and sending a few buddy requests that got no response
Sam mentioned his gmail.chat, which I had set up a few weeks ago.
On my gmail page there was a green dot by samsedershow.
Was to late last Sunday to see if my two comments made it through. seemed to work ok though
