"Hello to our friends and fans in domestic surveillance."

B-29 - WWII - 10 July 1945.

That is K-29's CAP Richard Flanagan (Rad Ob) handing some equipment down to an unkown gentleman after the Gifu mission.

That's my Dad..CAP Richard Flanagan..

"City of San Francisco"

Crew 813 mainly flew "City of San Francisco" (K-29 SN: 44-69800). This was my fathers crew. Front Row, L to R: SGT Marion Kinsell (TG), SGT Edward Kindl (LG), unknown, SGT Bart Klinger (RG), SSGT Roy McLeod (RO), TSGT William Nickels (CFC), Back Row: MSGT Harold Turvey (FE), 1LT Knut Flo (N), CAP Alfonso Escalante (B), CAP Richard Flanagan (Rad Ob), 2LT Robert Woolson (P), CAP Raymond Smisek (A/C). Crew successfully flew 21 Missions. Part of the original 458th to come over and another "Lead Crew".

Returning Safely..

K-29 being greeted by CAP Paul Schade (Group Chaplain) after mission to Gifu, July 1945. That is the Co-Pilot Robert Woolson waving out the window.

These...

are my Grandma and Grandpa Dillon.

This..

is his sister, my Aunt Lora, and her husband Uncle Ed and their boy. Aunt Lora and Uncle Ed ran a cigarshop that she continued running after he died. She smoked cigars, chewed tobacco, pipes, cigarrettes, that kind of thing.

This..

is my cousin Ruby. She died last year quite suddenly. Her husband Jim had died a few years before.

What an excellent idea! Family photos!

Thank you MM for showing this on the main thread..I rarely get to see Open Mics with work and all these days...

So thanks!

...now I have to think if I have any family photos in this plethora of cat photos on my hard drive.. ;)

Yeah Alice,Brett Has A Great Idea Here.. :)

Brett's pictures of his Dad as a kid are really cool..

I finaly found the website that had some pictures

Grandma's baby picture

Grandma as a baby with her mom and dad, the Carters. Tragically, her mom died not long after this picture was taken.

My great grandparents on their honeymoon.

As vintage photos go, this is my favorite one in the whole world. Meet Jake and Gladys Carter. Handsome couple, aren't they? I think he worked on the railroad, too.

All my photos are backed up on an external drive at the moment

and I'm too lazy to plug it in now to look.....

It's darn near bed time...
