I know you can do Div's and Tables b/c I can see it in the source. There must be a group authorization setting someone can toggle to allow it on Open Mics.

Also a feature to encourage open mics by providing a directory of Open Mic's available would be nice.

For example, I keep up with MMR's E Howard Hunt thread that is ancient but the only way to navigate to it is to put it in a favorites bookmark. That's not too convenient.

One other thing. It would be best if our cursor turned into a boxing glove and the submit button was an image of mAnn Coulter. Sound effects of her wincing would be a bonus!

Make Videos only in the Open Mic. Not in the comment section of the Main Blog.

After it's been spammed by Videos it's useless to even use your blog.

Maybe you can create some mild guidelines that can be pointed to when someone gets out of line, esp. someone new.

Does this attack the function of the blog, including purposely including materials which will deny others physical access to the blog and I will ban you mean don't embed, or don't embed with malice toward the function of the blog?

Since unregistered anons cannot edit, either restrict tags and embeds to the reg'd or have the automatic closing air-non suggested upthread.

Is there an abuse report function here?

Several anons who probably fit this description in your view but are getting all lumped together and they are probably not the posters of that crap. I am reasonably sure most are folks that are registered but have been driven off the blog. Of course, all anons look alike.

Your suggestions are good except I am guessing some of the finer limitations might be technologically impossible. I remember when I first started coming around here I was shocked by how abusive you were of Sam and his blog until I finally figured out your rap out and then you disappeared for a while. Frankly, I thought you had been banned.

I'd love to see a more accessible reference to the open mics. It is too hard to find the older stuff.

I remember a site that had a simple game of moving Rush around in his wheeled desk chair to gobble the falling Oxycontin pills.

Limbaugh annoys me more than Coulter because I have managed to avoid Coulter entirely (no cable TV). So how 'bout this: The post button is a Rush head that gobbles the Oxycontin cursor? A "Gulp" sound would be a nice touch.

Alternately, the post button could be a Bush head that says "Nookyuler" when you post.

Ahh, so many possibilities, so little time.

I'm not seeing that much there. I've seen worse from the reg'd.

Maybe if it was on the top of the page more might bother to do it. It is kind of buried in the middle of the column. I would also rather see the Recent Posts at the top so you did not have to scroll down to check them. I do that a lot more than check out the open mics.

Though your added to/moved your examples, I still don't see much there, and nothing that hasn't been matched by 'users' be it nastiness or multiple postings. You made me check the YouTube links (not embeds) that I originally ignored and the content of the ones I saw looked like things several 'users' would put up here and the ended up about as long as a lengthy cut-and-paste. I won't look at anymore in the future but rather just scroll on up the page. That's what I mostly do now between all of the links and the embeds and the c&p and the anon pissing matches.

That's it from me here since this ain't really technical which is the topic here.

I have seen on a few blogs the feature where a registered user can put someone on ignore so if logged in and choosing not to want to be abused by air-ono or read/see re-furbed car stuff from SJim (just examples), their posts would be blank for that user. I imagine one could put all anon posts on ignore as well. That would put the onus of censorship or choice on each individual and not affect the blog in general other than cut down on the anon freak outs. It might even extend the lives of a few folks.

Maybe you could keep more active open mics like this one on the front page instead of forced off by more recent additions that often are a single statement or post with no response. Or maybe you can create a top 5 or 10 Open Mic section.

Could you set up single a set go-to place for up to date information and updates on your sub slots, TV appearances etc and where pod/vodcasts are kept? It has just gotten too tedious and time wasting to try to ascertain that info by poking around with a stick on the blog. Thanks again.

Last night I was looking at your blog and noticed the calendar. It seems to indicate that there is content through 10/15 as all days through 10/15 are underlined with a link; and when you open the current date, the calendar says that the month is actually December.
