Bush to meet with President Nguyen Minh Triet

Oh, to be a fly on the wall for this:

Nguyen Minh Triet, the first president to visit Washington since the Vietnam War, said his government was working hard to smooth out difficulties that some U.S. companies have experienced while doing business in the communist-led country. He is to meet Friday with President Bush at the White House.

Vietnam's president calls for more U.S. investment ahead of talks with U.S. lawmakers

Mr. 'Bring It On' is going to handle one of the most significant diplomatic situations in years.

I hope Bush is well drugged with plenty of handlers for this. Some of the things I am fully expecting Bush to say:

"We'll recognize your rising economic influence as soon as you get a handle on the insurgent situation"

"I will trade nuclear information for rice."

"Now that your country is democratized the U.S. should help ya with business trade. The first thing is not to have them sweat shops. What we do here is have immigrants. They work for a Freedom chance."

"Can you talk to Jalal Talabani for me? He doesn't do so good as you."

"If you send some troops over to Iraq, I will give you nuclear information"

"I am a leader of a country too. It's big a country with lots of diversification, and that accounts for the all the different opinions people say about me."

"Im thinking a one party system is a fine form of government. But what you need to do is change the name to Democracy."

"Here in America, we have barbecues. But what we can do is slap a dog on the barbie for you. That is what is called diplomacy. We're good at that here."

"Ah heck. I'll just give you nuclear information."

I'm Voting for Pedro, GOSH!

I am disenchanted with every candidate on both sides of the aisle and those in between of the aisle- (or in the case of Gravel and Romney somewhere in outer space).

Please fill the comment section with reasons why all the candidates are not qualified, especially the Democratic candidates who are running against your pet Democratic candidate.

This will help us all make a decision more easily, as well as entertain. Meanwhile here are the top ten reasons I am voting for Pedro:

10)Pedro is sensitive

9)Pedro has facial hair that only takes a couple of days to grow.

8)Pedro looks sexy in a hoodie.

7)Pedro will have your back.

6)Pedro has a sweet bike.

5)Pedro will eliminate nipple number five.

4)Pedro will build a cake.

3)Napolean Dynamite will be Secretary of State.

2)Pedro offers us his protection.

and the number one reason I am voting for Pedro:

1)He will make all my wildest dreams come true!

It began with 'Bias'

The destruction of the Fourth Estate began with the demonization of Dan Rather, the former cornerstone of CBS news. And it began long ago, before this administration, and even before FOX News started it's campaign to destroy any credible news source.

Have you heard of Bernard Goldberg?

If not, you should know who he is.

A long time news contributor to CBS News during the 1990's, Goldberg nurtured resentment against the entire MSM because it did not adhere to his world views. Like many misinformed people, he fought to change the 'message' instead of adopting a more reasonable world view that adhered to reality.

In 1996 Goldberg wrote an OP-Ed article in the Wall Street Journal that accused the mainstream media of harboring a liberal bias. Goldberg, himself employed at CBS, found working there difficult after he accused his colleagues of biased reporting and consequently quit.

Now the American MSM is so indistinguisable from the truth that it is laughable. It cannot be called News, but it certainly can be called conservative.

Goldberg is now employed at FOX News as a commentator. He and fellow Fifth Estate Destroyer, Roger Ailes are very close. In 2001 Goldberg wrote a book entitled: "Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News".

I have read this book. I found many editing and logical errors in it. It was never-the-less published and ended up in my hands and in a million other hands. (A conservative friend gave it to me to read). I filled the book with post-it notes pointing out very obvious errors before I returned it. That book is significant to me because Goldberg and others like him with their impassioned, lockstep poisoned logic, began an era-the miserable era we are now living in.

Why I am plotting the Death of my TV

Secular. Faith. Looney Liberals. Demoncrats

Global Warming is a myth that Al Gore is perpetuating because he is just a bitter person who lost the election. Michael Moore is Satan's Footsoldier.

Berries and cream! Berries and cream! I'm a little lad who loves berries and cream!

John Gibson's Big Story: Pants

Around 4p my Grandmother turns on the TV to watch John Gibson so she can stay current. Everyone in the living room must be quiet so she can hear, it is that big of a deal to her. Out of morbid curiosity I joined her.

I wasn't disappointed: The big story-Pants.

According to court documents, the problem began in May 2005 when Pearson became a judge and brought several suits for alteration to Custom Cleaners in Northeast Washington, a place he patronized regularly despite previous disagreements with the Chungs. A pair of pants from one suit was not ready when he requested it two days later, and was deemed to be missing.

Pearson asked the cleaners for the full price of the suit: more than $1,000.

But a week later, the Chungs said the pants had been found and refused to pay. That's when Pearson decided to sue.

Judge: Cleaner owes me $65 million for pants

Other things that I would like to hear on John Gibson's Big Story:

-Coverage of the Iraq War

-Global Warming and how it effects the Earth, that is a fairly 'big story.' (Did I mention it snowed here this morning? That is pretty damn weird for June.)

-Libby's court case

-Last but not least:An apology for using his program as a catalyst for racist agenda's (such as suggesting white people need to get busy with the baby making.)

Of course none of the above will ever appear on John Gibson's
Big Story. John needs to change the name of his show to "John Gibson's Obscure News Show".

He could of at least included a thread count for the pants. I'm sure they were expensive. Gibson can't even report a non story correctly.

FOX NEWS: So Much More Worse Than You Realize

In blog land, FOX NEWS has little to no influence in molding public thought. It is deservedly scoffed at, but other then the occasional guffaw at O'Reilley or one of the other misinformed hosts on FOX News, it is virtually ignored.

I myself do not watch it and change the channel whenever I accidentally land on the station, because long ago I decided to ignore any and all information that comes from that source. I see it as mental poison and steer clear of it. I'd rather hear the news from an honest source, just as discerning people tell busy bodies and rumor mongers to stop gossiping around them for the sake of sanity. There is nothing worse than hearing a version of events from the office gossip because you know you are getting maybe, perhaps, a grain of truth, and it's a headache to try to figure out the correct version.

Recently, I had a life crisis and have moved back home and am staying with my conservative leaning family whom I love dearly, and whom I have missed the nine years I have been living far away in another state. I have missed out on so much-I forgot how wonderful it is to have a family support system, especially in my current situation as a single parent. I love them because I only had to say the word and they welcomed me home with open arms.

As far as their FOX News habit (as I perceive it) I have started to forgive them because they have no idea that the virtually 90 percent of the information they receive is patently false. And I love them because they forgive me for what they perceive as a minor evil-liberalism. We do not discuss politics. AT ALL.
