Your Majority Report |
burepe's blogMajority Report playlist (and others)Submitted by burepe on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 8:08am.I was thinking about the Majority Report music and so I looked this stuff up... Enjoy. Oh, the program Songbird is helpful if you want to listen to the songs too. How to play the AirAmerica stream in mobile devices or just about anything.Submitted by burepe on Tue, 02/05/2008 - 11:52am.This link will work with most programs so you can listen to it with a computer, a pocket pc (windows mobile), linux, handheld devices, and maybe some cell phones. It is an .m3u file so most software will play it. http://aarlive.voxcdn.com/live.m3u I am so happy to have finally figured this out. I live in Japan and tomorrow is the Super Tuesday primary so I had no way to listen. Luckily, I have a pocket pc phone with windows mobile and I finally figured out how to make it play the stream. Oh, and by the way, Air America, why do you have to make it so hard for people to listen? Well, I know why, you want to make people look at the adverts on the page as well as listen to the ones in the stream. You know that the harder you make it the less users you have. I can beat the pants off people in the computer department and this took me a month to figure out. And since I am on the topic, I want to introduce Air America to my friends but I can't because you have to pay for the podcasts. I want to show them the good shows, but if they go to the stream it seems like it is always that god awful Lionel. Ok, I feel better. Here is how I did it. I went to the Air America site and clicked "Listen". Then I chose "Real Player". Then I right clicked on the Real Player plug-in and clicked "Play clip in Real Player". I am using a mac but it should work in windows too. When the program opened I went to Window > Clip Info. The Clip Info window comes up and there is the link. http://aarlive.voxcdn.com/live.m3u You can play this in just about any program. Volia. For my Pocket PC Windows Mobile, I emailed the link to my phone and when I clicked it it auto opened in the program TCPMP, which can play almost anything. I can use this fine on my mobile network, but I have an unlimited plan so be careful to make sure you do or are using wireless or something like that. Air America, make this easier for people and they will listen more often. 神出鬼没 www.kokekokkou.net Sam, Tom Green and the future...Submitted by burepe on Sun, 06/10/2007 - 11:49am.I was doin stuff on the internet and I ran across Tom Green's new show which is on the internet and it reminded me of Sam. Because I think that Sam could set up his show on the net like Tom has done. Hell, we would all pay a bit to hear (or see) him every day. If Air American is not going to listen to us and put on honest host like sam then f'em. Sam should start his own web based show. We have the tools. Let's use them. Below is a post I put on my blog www.kokekokkou.net about Tom Green's new show: "If you don't know Tom Green, he is a crazy ex-mtv talk show host, ex-rapper (event though he apparently freestyles fairly often), and a pretty good skateboarder, and now he is doing a show on the internet. And he is doing it right. The show, Tom Green Live is on at 11pm Eastern time (12pm in Japan) every weeknight at www.tomgreen.com on the internet. I mean, on the internet! Not copied from tv and then put on the internet. Not downloaded. A live call-in show from his living room on the internet. And if you just think about that for a second, you will realize that by having it "on the internet" it really opens up the possibilities for the show. Because the show is on the internet and not on normal tv there are no commercials, they can swear, get drunk, be naked, and the show (appears) to be uncensored in any way. People can call in or use Skype to video call in, and the calls are not screened. It appears a bit unpolished, but it shows what we are sacrificing by having all our media nice and clean? We lose control of a lot. Corporations decide what we can and can not say, when we can swear, what time we are on, what is popular, and what is proper. Where is the audio for this Sunday's show?Submitted by burepe on Mon, 05/21/2007 - 6:24am.EDIT: I read Sam's post about it being here tomorrow. Thanks anyway. I live in Japan and I want to listen. Did anyone record it? Put it on youtube. Argh... mateys.. be a pirate. Air America is asking for it anyway. There is no podcast, no download, not even a mention of Seder On Sundays on the site. I Sam went to a net based show with subscriptions I wonder if he could make enough money. Put suggestions for improving the site here.Submitted by burepe on Sat, 05/19/2007 - 5:37am.I wanted to suggest that changing the color and font size of user names in the posts, for example "Submitted by Bob26003 on Sat, 05/19/2007 - 11:12.", would make it easier for people to read the back and fourth in conversations. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Please post them as comments below. |
